Those of you who dislike Tony Kornheiser might be happy to hear he might not return to the booth on Monday Night Football next season. Kornheiser will be in Dallas, probably Saturday, getting ready for the Cowboys-Giants game on Monday night. Maybe Matt Mosley will take over for Tony. |

Keep Korn-head, kick Joe. Please!!!!
Posted by Danelle in Waco @ 12:31 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
He can't stand listening to Joe for an entire game either!
Posted by WG @ 12:37 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
Can he take Joey T with him?
Posted by Ben @ 12:42 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
Who doesn't like Kornheiser? He's the only reason I watch the abomination we call ESPN's Monday Night Football. What CDUB said... kick Joe... Theismann is terrible.
The best commentating team in the NFL continues to be Joe Buck and our boy Troy.

Keep Kornheiser...Joe must go!

Good riddance, and have him take that other fool Theismann with him. Everytime I hear either one of those two on MNF anymore I want to throw up.

Yes- let Joe go, keep Korny and, what the heck, give Mosley a shot!
Posted by Draegerman @ 1:29 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
I would actually be sad to see Kornheiser leave MNF. It's because of that self-effacing style of his that keeps me glued to the television. I would hope that he will reconsider.

Get rid of them all. Remember the booth trio for the Skins and Vikes at the start of the season? Pure brilliance...Nessler, Vermeil, and Jaws may not have the marquee names, but they actually call the game correctly and offer real insight.

I'm sorta neutral on Kornheiser - I think he's improved from the start of the season. But get rid of Joe Theisman . . . he's terribly self absorbed. Last week I watched on TV and listened on the radio!

Joe Theismann is the worst thing that has happened to MNF since ABC gave Joe Namath an open bar.
Posted by kskey @ 2:10 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
Well... I was going to express my opinion that Joe "brokeback knee" Theismann needed to go before Tony, but I think that has been eloquently expressed many times already. Joe "I am god" Theismann shows his hate and discontent for Tony every week. Get him outa there. Tony can intellegently speak about other things in this world and make them interesting to the football audience. I think Joe's just mad cause he has no clue of what he's talking about.

Kornheiser's probably leaving because Theisman is such an idiot. My personal theory is that ABC/ESPN wants to ruin the ratings of MNF so they can drive the costs down the next time the NFL puts up the broadcasting rights for bid.

I like Tony (esp on PTI)....but outside of the humor I think he offers very little insight into the actual nuances of the game. What he talks about when he is serious is quite obvious to the true football fan...not to mention when he regularly asks Theismann about certain basics of the game that we already know about. Yes, I don't care for the self-serving Redskin Theismann either, but he's the only one that really knows the game of the 3. Tirico does a good job in any sport.

If Kornheiser leaves, so be it. But if I hear Theisman get up on his "soap-box" one more time, I'm gonna scream!!
Posted by bodie @ 3:07 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
Please go away, Tony. He knows as much about football as my wife. Hell, put her in-she can read off a teleprompter too!
Posted by Chris @ 3:35 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
Could it be that Joe "I loves me some Joe" has some incriminating photos of some TV execs? I've yet to conjure up any other plausible reasons he is even allowed on TV! I vote for Norm Hitzges...he'll always talk about the game and never himself.

As much as I loath Theismann, he is no where near as annoying as Kornheiser. I had my fill of the entire MNF team ever since they tried to goad guest Spike Lee into a political, Bush bashing diatribe during the Saints/Falcons game.

Other than his insistant remarks regarding his fantasy football team, I somewhat enjoy what Tony has to say. As far as Joe T. goes, I think there should be some type of poll to rid the airwaves of his irritating noise. Does anybody like him???
Posted by Zach @ 5:19 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
Joe Buck, Aikman, and Kornheiser. Next year's A-Team.
Theismann is a joke...and it's not funny.
Posted by The Wizard @ 5:26 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
That would definitely be an addition by subtraction. I'm not a fan of Theismann either, maybe it's the Redskins thing, but Tony's football knowledge ranks slightly higher than my son's - and he's 4 months old.
Posted by Clint @ 6:03 PM Fri, Oct 20, 2006
yeah, Kornheiser has grown on me a bit. He seems to not be harping on his fantasy team so much. But Theesman (doesn't rhyme with heisman) has GOT to go. He gets worse with every breath.

The three ESPN clowns are the worst of all the NFL broadcasters out there; however, The Korn is the wrong guy to leave the ESPN booth. Joe has to go! Will ESPN ever get it???

Troy's pretty good, but i cringe whenever i hear his garbled syntax, especially his overuse of the words "what", "that" and the phrase "the game of football". Most of the time he says in 50 words what could have been said in 10.

I am a former player and Christion who was so embarrassed for the kids and adults when MNF analyst Tony Kornheiser when he spent several minutes depicting Terrell Owens as "The Devil". No one should have the right to call an athlete "the devil" even when the person is someone as volatile and opinionated as Terrell Owens.

Hopefully he will leave before the end of this season. He's an idiot. My mother could do a better job than him.
Posted by bob smith @ 7:57 PM Mon, Nov 06, 2006
That Tony guy is a total moron - Lindsy Lohan would do a better job. Joe is the man.
Go SKINS!!! If you can't make the playoffs, beat the stinking cowboys!

Bring back Boomer Esiason hes been doing CBS radio for years now. He explains the game better than anybody and is not the same guy from the old MNF. Walter
