Romo takes a knee

After taking the final knee and dodging a group of cameramen, Tony Romo moved to midfield where he exchanged words with Peyton Manning. He gave Manning a little tap on the helmet, kept the game ball and worked his way to the tunnel.

Losing that Washington game hurts even more now.

Did anyone else notice what Parcells whispered to Dungy when they met at midfield after the end of the game?
Coach Parcells whispered "I hope I see you again."
Of course, that would be the Super Bowl. Shows me his expectations are BIG.

no disrespect to the previous starting QB, but i think it's about time to replace bledsoe's image in the blog's header artwork and put up a banner of the new sheriff in town.

HUGE win. HUGE!!!

Huge win...needs to be followed up with another on Thursday. No let up for the rest of the season. Hey, Matt...do you have Cundiff's number?

I second Johan's suggestion.

That pat was the most cocky, most winner-like thing I've seen in a Cowboys quarterback since Aikman.

I love Romo

At midfield-

Manning: Good game.

Romo: Keep your head up, kid. You've definitely got potential.

What's up with all the "change the pics on the blog header?" Get a life...Bledsoe is still a mbr of the team and if I'm not mistaken he's an offensive captain. I'm pretty sure he's providing a lot of behind the scenes help to Romo. Leave it alone!!!!

Agree with HawgRider but Romo needs to be there too-maybe he could replace the skinny guy in the suit?

Posted by ernest t bass @ 6:44 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

HawgRider is right, not only is it bad karma or whatever, more than likely we'll be seeing Drew again this year. Y'all might want to research Earl Morrell and the '72 Dolphins.

Posted by vijay @ 6:49 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

I love Romo and his confidence. He doesn't really remind me of Aikman, but I see enough about him that I'm about as confident with him at the helm as I used to be with Aikman. Of course, Aikman is a HOFer and Romo is a whopping 3-1. But he has made every play. I just hope everyone remembers that he will lose another game along the way this year but please have confidence. We may have found the Aikman replacement for the short time at least.

Drew? is that you masquerading around as HawgRider?

Posted by jrl @ 7:00 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

don't listen to the bledsoe people: replace the image.

Posted by gary @ 7:05 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

waaay to early to know...check back in a yr...

but...

...do i detect a bit of a staubach swagger in the young'un? good thing his number's clean so he doesn't have to share. other than mitch hoopes...anyone else know a cows #9?

oh...almost fergot. hope van der-choke has a dog cuz everyone needs a friend

Posted by johan @ 7:10 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

member of the team? there are 53 members of the team! no one's suggesting cutting bledsoe. but make no mistake, the most important player on the team is the starting quarterback - the leader of the offense; the face of the team. i'm just suggesting that when you're the starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys, show a little love and pop his image up.

Posted by apt @ 8:02 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

Romo looks like he's having FUN out there! That is refreshing. And not bad scrambling around and making key plays. A bit wet behind the ears but great potential.

Posted by Phill @ 8:38 PM Sun, Nov 19, 2006

All time Cowboys #9s -Mitch Hoopes P, Roger Ruzek K, Craig Kupp QB, Rodney Peete QB, Daniel Gonzalez QB.

Bledsoe is now the holder of the sacred clip board. I also believe it's time for his pic to be removed from the header. It's Romo's time to shine, and this is his team now. NOT Bledsoe's.

TO: COWBOYS EQUIPMENT MANAGER:
Stop issuing #11 to QBs (Humphrey, Gibbs, Villanueva, Belden, DWhite, WWilson, MQuinn, DBledsoe). #11 is doom to any Cowboys QB.
