Bill: We don't condone this

I've been over on the new side banging some stuff out on this unprecedented fine. By now, you've heard that T.O. has been fined $35,000 for spitting in the face of Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall during Saturday's game.

This morning, T.O. told reporters that the whole thing had been blown out of proportion and that he hadn't intended to spit in Hall's face.

Bill Parcells had this to say: "We don't condone that type of activity, that's for sure."

Parcells indicated that commissioner Roger Goodell was attempting to show how serious he is about these type of incidents.

I think Rog' is showin' that he can't do math and doesn't understand the difference between what happened in the Nuggets/Knicks game and what Owens may or may not have done.... especially considering there isn't ANY evidence

I'm with T.O. on this one. This incident was blown up WAY out of propportion. Just ask Randy White. I don't think there was this much outcry when Haynesworth STOMPED on Andre's face. I think the media just used this as another opportunity to dog T.O. and then turn around and blame him for being a "distraction" to the team when there is ZERO evidence that anybody at Valley Ranch is distracted...except for the media.

And how long will the press run with this one. Thats all they wanted to talk about in Bills Monday press conference. No on condones this, but I am sick to tired of how the press beats to death anything negative they can find or invent against Owens, like his drops, for instance. Half of them were not drops. Terry Glenn has had a big drop in the last two games and it isnt even mentioned. I am beginning to think a lot of Owens past reputation has to do with the biased press as much as what he does or doesn't do.

They're punishing T.O. for his honesty and if he isn't in the news they have nothing to write about. Let the man play football.
