I'm not going to name names but a longtime local beat writer ruined it for all of us when he began the Jeff Garcia teleconference with, "How much do you look forward to sticking it to T.O.?" I would prefer something less threatening like, "How much do you hate No. 81's guts?" Anyway, Garcia had this response to the reporter's question: "I'm not even talking about that." In case you've been hiding under a rock for several years, T.O. and Garcia used to play together in San Francisco. At one point, T.O. talked about Garcia's sexual preference in a magazine article and it didn't really help their relationship.

I found it interesting that you used the word "preference" as opposed to "orientation". Preference indicates that the behavior is chosen as opposed to orientation which indicates that the behavior is genetically or otherwise foreordained. Makes a big difference in the "born that way" argument. Just thought I'd lob a political grenade in our happy little football chat.

Well, if no one else will come out and actually say it, here goes - Garcia IS Gay. Kind of a "so what" in my books, I could care less, but he is a gay man. Too bad T.O. had to make such a big deal about it back then.

How do you "know" that, exactly?
Have you and Garcia had an intimate moment?
Cause if you haven't, unless Garcia says he is, you don't "know" anything about him

If Garcia's gay, he's got some kinda 'beard'.
I'll consider turning gay if I can get Garcia's girlfriend in the deal....

You know- if Garcia is gay who cares- it is his business. If he throws the ball well or poorly- fine write about that.
This is just another example of TO doing anything he can to split teams apart. Maybe it is overdue to write "Little T doesn't get better when he puts others down"
I for one want him to catch the balls that have meaning (scoring plays- putting drives together) AND SHUT HIS TRAP.No other receiver has hurt his team more on the field and off this season (ever?)
