TG TG

God how does he catch those

Posted by P @ 9:42 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

A bright spot in an otherwise horrible defensive backfield.

Posted by Jacko @ 9:45 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Let's see if Bill moves to Barber as his starter next week. If he doesn't, it's because he's needlessly hardheaded.

Posted by chris @ 9:45 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Team needs shakeup to gain mo..Start Barber...Swith back to doing a bit more 4-3...Bring back the 2-te...Blitz RW on 5o percent of 3rd downs.

TD TD TD TD TD TD TD TD !!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by dan @ 9:46 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Exactly what D. Sanders keeps asking Marshall Falk. Dick Vermiel is asking as well, but nobody can hear him.

Posted by Gary @ 9:46 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Marion "Smash Mouth" Barber is as fun to watch as any Cowboy I can remember!! Gidddyaaap!

Posted by Chuck in Richardson @ 9:47 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Bill Parcells hardheaded?!?! Next you'll tell me Stallone's gonna make another Rocky movie. Yeah, right!

Posted by CRUZ @ 9:47 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

move fat roy to LB and find a cover safety...what about that SF guy- Parish?

Posted by Jimbo @ 9:48 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

I think Bill doesn't believe Barber can be a 20 plus carry back. That's why Jones is in there. But ever since the Indy game, you're see Barber in there more and more especially in critical situations.

Posted by David @ 9:48 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Deion is saying it over and over on NFL Network and he's right!! "Can someone please tell me why Julius Jones gets more playing time than Barber?!" Barber is the man and Jones should only come in to give him a brief breather or pass block.

Posted by joe @ 9:48 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

If you cant see the Barber is way better than Julius, you need to stop smoking something. I'm living Rio de Janeiro, so I dont get to hear or see the Dallas media during the week, but this should be a major topic of discussion. Damn, we found our QB, maybe we just found our stud RB. Now all we need is a Safety.

Posted by Ray B @ 9:50 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Yes, will someone PLEASE explain why this guy is not starting? He breaks tackles, he's tough as nails, and he inspires the whole team. COME ON, BILL! This guy deserves to start! WAKE UP and let him!

Posted by Ginger & Maryann @ 9:50 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Chuck...that's so freaky!!! Stallone is making another Rocky movie. Seriously! It's number 6 or 7 or something. Weird!!

Posted by Phill @ 9:51 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

C'mon Matt - why isn't Barber starting? That's as superficial as the commentary team's analysis. We expect more from you. Deeper question - why doesn't Julius get to run the draws and quick hitters MBIII does? On the draw where Barber got stopped by the safety, Jones would have been gone.

Posted by dan @ 9:51 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Obrigado, joe

Posted by cruz @ 9:52 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Move Roy to a Rover or Nickel LB something please...no one back their can cover

Posted by Uber Duf @ 9:54 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Phill--do you read much of Matt's work? Are you looking for something sharp and insightful? This past week, another Roy had another abysmal performance, he delved headfirst into some questoining about something other than football. Lower your expectations.

Posted by Allen @ 9:59 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Great point Phill, I can remember that Monday night Seattle game a couple years back when Julius went for about 190...got big gain after big gain running that little off tackle draw play as the game wore on.

Posted by Aaron Layman @ 10:17 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Phill-Here's the problem, you are assuming Jones would have got to the safety. He probably would have ran into his own lineman and been stopped for no gain. I understand Barber's production is inflated because he runs the ball on 3rd and long situations a lot, but Barber is simply a better football player.

Posted by Jimmy @ 10:26 PM Sat, Dec 16, 2006

Barber is a great situational back. He is a good change of pace when he's in the game. If he started and got the majority of the carries, then opposing defenses would be ready for that. As it is, they have to prepare for both JJ and MB. What do you think Stinky? You back yet?

Posted by brandon @ 8:05 AM Sun, Dec 17, 2006

That is a question for you media folks to ask Bill and I haven't heard it. Do your job ;)

What happens when Barber carries the ball?yardage and touchdowns!!!! Get the ball in his hands more. JJ isn't ever going to be a very good back.

Posted by Harold Shaw @ 8:36 AM Sun, Dec 17, 2006

With Jerry Jones ego it would seem that he would wish for "his" cowboys to be seen on national TV. We who are not so fortunate have to was the tickertape on ESPN to get the score but not watch the game. Evidently he is only interested in the people who buy the ticket to watch the game to line his pocket book.

Posted by Chris @ 10:30 AM Sun, Dec 17, 2006

Parcell is a hard headed idiot for not goin with Barber, yes jones has break away speed but he has broke away 1 time in 14 games and to often completly misses the hole. It's time to cut, trade or bench he and go with MBIII

Posted by Otis Campbell @ 3:14 PM Sun, Dec 17, 2006

The Jones-Barber Two-Headed Monster is doing very well, thank you! Who cares who starts? Who's doing better? Probably MBIII, but don't mess with success!
