Thanks to John Nix (not the former Cowboy) for tracking down this Mat McBriar story in The Australian. My favorite part is when the writer informs us that Mat has become a "cult figure" in Dallas. We're also told that McBriar "kicked" the Cowboys into the playoffs, and I have to totally agree with that assessment. Stay here for more news on Monday's "match" between the Cowboys and Eagles. And make sure you shop at Octane in the West Village. globally yours, m |

Matt, its after 1 AM what are you doing still posting stuff on here. I admire the dedication. But get to sleep, maybe thats why you are always "running late" to work.

Would anyone even know McBriar's first name if it wasnt for Mosley?

Just read this article. "I definitely had somewhat of a dream to do this and it's coming true now." -- is it possible to definitely have somewhat of anything?

Lets keep it in perspective. The Australia is not a
major sports paper here in Australia. The Melbourne
Age which is has never mentioned McBriar because he
is not known here. Ben Graham the kicker for the Jets is well known because he retired from Australia
rules football thus he get a mention.

Love this quote:
"I never really envisaged this at all," McBriar said. "I definitely had somewhat of a dream to do this and it's coming true now."
Ahhh, somewhat of a dream. Man. He must be ecstatic.

Matt,
Disappointed to see not one comment about the state finalist Robinson Rockets in your blog! Great game at Ford stadium! Too bad they came up short. Very entertaining game! Merry Christmas...or can I say that on this blog without censorship?

Nice article. I too am looking forward to Mat "running out in the match that is traditionally played a week after the Super Bowl."

Am noting McBriar has younger brother, Johnny, 24. Wonder if he has the talent & dream to punt in America? Always room on the practice squad. Can never have enough Aussies mate!
