Just spent some time on the phone with Falcons single wing quarterback Mike Vick, who can't figure out where all this criticism is coming from. "What have I done?" Vick said. "Why are people criticizing me. I really can't find anything from watching the film and evaluating myself. I don't know why I take a lot of the heat." A man after my own heart. OK, I have to go listen to Bill and then visit with players. My ETA on my Afternoon Report is 3:15 p.m., give or take an hour. with fondness in my heart, m |

You have to love a qb who deflects blame on his teammates.
You put Drew Bledsoe on the Falcons with Vick in the Reggie Bush role then you would have an offense.

Vick will probably rip our lack of a secondary for 4 TD throws. Then we can give him some respect, right?

1.All hype, and over paid.
2.One of the worst starting QBs in the NFL for the past 6 years.
3.His only talent is he runs, and inexplicably fumbles with no one around him. He should be a wide receiver, or a punt returner. Not a QB.
4. Blames everyone else on his team for his inability to throw with any consistency, and win the big game.
Maybe he'll lose his temper and give the fans the finger again when the Cowboys beat him on Saturday.

Hey "P", you forgot #5: Even though he is overrated, he will still torch the Cowboys' awful secondary, which features a couple of VERY overrated guys as well (Williams & Henry).

LOL, no I was just hoping he'd have another 84 yard 3 int passing day he's known for. Williams might be the perfect choice to keep containment on Vick to keep him from running. That is if he's remembered how to tackle (and not by the shoestrings) this week.

Wow, one of the worst starting QBs in the last 6 years of football. Let me see, in two of his three years as a starter (he sat out another after breaking his fibula), he's won over 65% of his games, won two division titles and taken the falcons to an NFC Championship game, all with subpar receivers. His #1 receiver for two years was Peerless Price, who couldn't even make the Dallas squad the year Atlanta let him go.
I have no idea why people hate him so much. He doesn't go out there and yap his mouth on the field like TO, he just straps on the helmet and makes plays. He may not be your classic style QB, but the man wins football games. Oh yeah, and he's 26 years old, just one year older than Eli, and hmm....same age a Tony Romo. How about that.

Wow! Vick seems a little touchy about people questioning his playing.

Ooh, tough crowd with the "Vick deflects blame on his teammates" comments considering Terrell Owens is on the Cowboys.

I'm not a big Vick fan, but in his defense he is saddled with several first-round receivers who make T.O. look like Marvin Harrison. Alge Crumpler is the only one on that team who can consistently catch the ball.

Vick's a 'single-wing tailback', not quarterback.
Single-wing quarterbacks typically called the plays, but their main function during most plays was blocking, not throwing or running. The tailback usually ran/passed.
Yours archaically,
