Leno's take on Romo

Let's hope Tony wasn't watching NBC last night. Here's what Jay Leno had to say:

"In the Bronx, two men are being called heroes after a 3-year-old fell from a five-story fire escape and they caught it. Luckily for the kid, it wasn’t Tony Romo. He would have dropped him.

As you know, Tony Romo dropped the ball on a field goal attempt, costing the Dallas Cowboys the game. But the good news is today he picked up an endorsement deal: It’s the ‘Tony Romo’s Butterfinger.”

Hopefully those jokes went over better live than they did in print.

I am not sure I caught that. HAHAHAHA!

Technically, Romo would have caught the kid, he would have just dropped him on the part where he sets it down on a table or on the handoff.

Give Romo a break. Everyone forgets we wouldn't have been in the playoffs if it weren't for him anyway.

Jay Leno really dishes out the top shelf comedy. If you are part of the Matlock/Murder She Wrote crowd. I dont know how he gets ratings when the only demographic that thinks he is funny has been sound asleep for 3 hours when his show comes on.

STUFF IT LENO. NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THAT.

Hey Jerry, speculation is in full swing on Bills replacement. Whatever you do, dont bring in a "placeholder" hoping to make a run at Bill Cowher next year. This team is ready RIGHT NOW for a super bowl run. Bring in someone who can organize what we have and move forward immediately without having to re-invent the wheel. Better game planning and more agressive offensive and defensive schemes is all this team needs in the deflated NFC.

So its official that Zimmer is the D-Coor. for the falcons?

I love jokes like this... you can just insert any relevant name-

"It's the 'Terrell Owens' Butterfinger."

"It's the 'David LaFleur's Butterfinger."

"It's the 'Tyrone Williams' Butterfinger."

wait. I think Tyrone Williams never dropped a ball

Jay Leno is not funny at times, put it that way.

I hope Tony has stopped watching tv altogether. Seems all I see on every station is something Romo related.

I was talking on the phone with my Mother a few states over and even she had a few Romo jokes for me.

Just ignore it and move on is all I can say. I live in Houston and these people are driving me absolutly nuts with jokes like that. So depressing.

Leno's writing staff should be embaressed.

That's pretty dorky, Matt.

Great, we're a late night punchline now.

very funny, whats even funnier is seeing all you Dallas fans blame it ALL on Romo.
fact:Even if FG was made, there was enough time for seattle to move ball into position to kick a FG.
fact:Seattles 2 late additions to secondary were were selling mortgages and the other was out elk hunting. From street clothes to playing in the NFL and holding T. Owens to 2 catches.
fact;Stevens (SEA TE) ran around Dalas secondary uncovered for 2 touchdowns.

Romo is the man. So what, he dropped the slick ball? It's one of a 1,000 plays and he has a tremendous future. He made Cowboy football fun this year. His story will be one where history kicked a an error under the rug of much greater successes.

Leno's 20+ writers must have had a slow day to come up with this hack job of comedy. His writers dropped the ball. I'd like to see Leno catch a 15 yard curl pattern that Romo has thrown on a line. Now, we're talking funny...if you like slapstick.

the defense would not have stopped them anyway. We needed a touchdown to win.

A Dennis Miller he ain't! I'm sure the Frau's loved it! What a Hack!
