You might notice a different look to our blog banner today. Unfortunately, our colleague Matt Mosley has decided to move on. We wholeheartedly thank Matt for his contributions to the blog and DallasNews.com and wish him all the best in his new ventures. Now, while the contributors on our Cowboys blog might be changing, I can promise you our Cowboys coverage and commentary from The Dallas Morning News will continue to be the most reliable source for news on the team. And our blog will continue to be a must-have bookmark in every Cowboys fan's browser. The Dallas Morning News' numerous award-winning writers and columnists will continue to keep you up to date on the latest breaking news, keep stirring your emotions with their commentary, analysis and humor and hopefully entice you to play an active role in our daily conversations on the web. We all look forward to providing that for you and encourage your thoughts and comments. You can contact me using the e-mail link below. I'd love to hear from you. Thank you, |

Are you nuts? This blog will never make it without Matt...and he wouldn't leave without a personal farewell.
I'm not buying it at all.

How about a little more information on Matt Mosley "moving on." His lighthearted, often whimsical treatment of the news was a breath of fresh air. He WAS this blog. Whassup?

So did the blog have a "Romo effect" for Matt and catapult him into super-stardom? I'm sure you can't say, but where will he be seen now?

I'm disappointed Matt is no longer going to be doing the blog, he did a great job. I hope he can still post one more time on this blog so he can give his personal farewell and let us know where we can hear from him next.

Yay! No more trite reflections on the Cowboys, or inane House updates! This can only be an improvement.

Too bad! I loved his personal style and smart yet sometimes odd sense of humor. You've got yourself quite a task to fill his shoes. I hope we can hear from him one last time.

He took McBriar up on his man-servant job offer?

how will we ever keep up on Baylor sports info now? oh, wait, was there any?
Matt, rock on, pal. Hope your next endeavors are as amenable to your late morning schedule and affinity for working from java land. Good luck on the final expense report, and keep in touch. Hope you didn't already purchase that flight to Honolulu!
now just promise us you're not the new d or o coordinator at Valley Ranch and we'll get on with our lives...

It looks like the DMN fumbled the snap on this one.

Where's Matt going? It's a shame he's leaving since I thought he did a great job. Hey Matt, If you're still reading the blog, I wish you all the best.

Is this a joke so people write nice things about Matt? This was one of the best (and funniest) blogs in the whole league. Damn

I'm sorry to hear that. Matt's easy going writing style made me feel like the readers of this blog were buddies of his, rather than faceless strangers scattered across cyberspace. I hope this blog will continue that friendly approach.

Please tell me this is a joke. Matt was THE reason I read this blog. And I'm not joking.
Posted by GM @ 2:38 PM Thu, Jan 18, 2007
Say it ain't so, Matt! This blog won't be the same without you...Is he moving on to be the Cowboys' new head coach?
Posted by steve in houston @ 2:46 PM Thu, Jan 18, 2007
Surely you could have matched or increased the offer the other squad made. Seems like a waste to groom someone to be your Aikman one day and then to let him go. Matt's sense of humor and insight made this blog.

Wow! don't know what to say. As much I enjoy the other guys online, Matt's ability to entertain and share really personalized the blog. I guess I picked up on some dissatisfaction with sports writing at times. Good bye and good luck

Hey Abe, (Sorry couldn't help it Barry)
How are you going to replace the heart and soul of this place?
Dang, we're gonna miss ya Matt.
Best of Luck from the North East division of the Bolgonistas.

This just must be a joke or my day is ruined. I'm going with Tony D who posted above...this is a joke designed to make us say nice things about Matt. And I'm also with Bill -- Matt's personality was the reason I read this blog, maybe even more than for the actual Cowboys news.
