How'd you like to be Atlanta owner Arthur Blank and have Michael Vick as the face of your franchise? This happened today. He flipped some fans off at a home game earlier this season and we probably shouldn't discuss the whole herpes thing in detail. |

Unfortunately, the stupidity of his action will keep us from focusing on the more chilling aspect of this story, that being the unwarranted search of personal property by someone whose presence is supposed to be safeguarding our planes from terrrorists. While they are extremely annoying, chances are we are not facing an elevation in threat level because of stupid, rich athletes.

Puff, puff, give. So, what was unwarranted about the search? Rich, drunk or stupid athletes aren't above the law. MV should have nothing to worry about, right? He is not only the face of the franchise but a supposed role model for the NFL. But as they say, "stupid is as stupid does" and both Arthur Blank and Rich McKay are probably holding their collective breathe and thinking how much they wish it was Marcus and not Michael!!

Putting aside the fact that marijuana possession should be legal -- and most likely will be made completely legal within the next decade -- it still boggles the mind that this guy does things like this. Almost makes you think that people such as him are crying out for help.

This could be a major blessing in disguise for the Falcons and their new head coach. It gives them the excuse and the ammunition they need to finally give up on Vick and move on to the future. Too bad it happen before Mora was canned.

"unwarranted" in the sense that it had nothing to do with travel security, the TSA staff members' seemingly sole purpose.

Michael Vick is a knucklehead; Michael Vick is not a NFL playoff-caliber QB! Never has been. He's another of those failed running-QB's that simply can't make it to the bigtime in the NFL, but were touted by certain interests as the "new wave" of QB's. NFL QB's can pass!
