Oklahoma released the following statement to end the speculation of Bob Stoops coming to the Cowboys before we could have much fun with it: Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops issued a statement today in response to questions he has received pertaining to other coaching vacancies. “To end speculation here in the heart of recruiting I want to make it clear that I am not interested in any other coaching positions at this time. I am too excited about our future at Oklahoma and the program we’re continuing to build.” Stoops just completed his eighth season. He owns an overall mark of 86-19 and four Big 12 Championships, including the 2006 league crown. NOTE: Just because a coach says he isn't interested in other gigs doesn't make it true. See Saban, Nick. |

Dan Reeves. This is the man who should be our next coach. 201 career wins, he took Atlanta to a Suoer Bowl, he is a class guy he is a great coach.Dan Reeves is a hire cowboy fans would be excited about.

Whatever. He's interested. He would be a good option, he could chase off the ghost of Parcells and Barry Switzer.

Right Ty. Let's bring in another old coach who's out of touch with today's player.

Rodney, What makes you think Dan Reeves is out of touch? I agree with Ty.

If Jerry Jones has any respect for Texas natives, he will not bring another Sooner in here. To play is one thing....keep the Okie coaches on their side of the river. This stuff is serious in Texas, Jerry. Remember how we've never forgiven you for Tom Landry, and don't step on us again.

Let me see if I understand -- in Dallas an "old coach who's out of touch with today's player" means he does not approve Birthday parties in Hollywood.
An "in touch" coach has a roster with 9 arrests in 18 months or has a DT who was involved in the murder of his friend and was arrested with 500 rounds of amo.
Ya. I get it now.

It's going to be Stoops guys, book it.
And yes I know what he said. He will be the next Dallas Cowboys head football coach.
