T.O. fires Lil' Kim

Terrell Owens fired his publicist, Kim Etheredge, last week. The two had some harsh words over the last few weeks.

Etheredge didn't want Owens to do a ESPN interview with Michael Irvin, but he did it anyway. She also didn't want a NFL Network interview with T.O. following the Atlanta game, but he did it.

Owens had tuned Etheredge out over the last few months and it all came to a head last week.

Etheredge accepted the firing with dignity but wouldn't talk about it Sunday. T.O. said it was a business decision and nothing personal.

Etheredge is hopeful to get other clients. She is good friends with Cowboys linebacker Kevin Burnett (she even baby sat his kids), and she's cool with Akin Ayodele.

Sounds Like TO should have listened to Lil Kim. He ended up looking pretty stupid after both of those interviews.

First of all, anyone who knows T.O. should know that Kim Quit! He doesn't have the guts to let her go. How many times has the media said that T.O. was rude, selfish and down right crazy.
Kim was the only nice thing about him. No one in their right mind would believe that he would ever get rid of the glue (Kim) that held him together. Let's see how long it takes him to come apart!
LOL

who cares. good luck to the woman.

Kevin Burnett and Akin Ayodele can find better things to "waste" thier money on, neither are "profile" players who could benefit (I use the word loosely) from a publicist. Though Ayodele is rapidly gaining my respect.

Maybe she could start the NFL babysitters club, write books about her and her friends wacky adventures, and keep the cash rolling in that way!

Mmmm more T.O. drama to help the media world go round. Oh well Lil' Kim. Us Dallas fans will always remember your 911 call, and the antics that followed.

'Tis a shame, I suggest a stature is built in her honor...

"Terrell Owens fired his publicist, Kim Etheredge, last week"

What took so long???????

Posted by DougO @ 4:58 PM Mon, Jan 08, 2007

Kim just wasn't up to the task of handling a player of TO's "statue."

But she did save his life, didn't she?

Posted by Chris P @ 6:35 PM Mon, Jan 08, 2007

And she had done such wonders to his image! Shocking!

Posted by Bill @ 12:45 AM Tue, Jan 09, 2007

why did it took so long to fire her? She should have been fired after the suicide incident.

What about T.O.'s personal DJ? Is his job secure?

These are the important details we need to know!

;)

Anyone want to bet that Kim will come out with a book stating that T.O. really did try to overdose??? As for the now vacant job, I know people will say hire Michael Irvin, but why?? T.O. is getting all of this support from Irvin for free.

The only problem I have with this is...how does the publicist determine whether her client should do a postgame interview? That's more along the lines of media relations, Rich Dalryple, etc....

Posted by chauncey @ 1:12 PM Tue, Jan 09, 2007

she will end up doing a tell all book then pictures for either fhm or maxim and trying to become so type of entertainment publicist

Posted by Otis @ 2:51 PM Tue, Jan 09, 2007

It doesn't matter.

And since when do we believe anything whole heartedly from the media when they paint someone selfish, Jason?

This is just another ploy to get eyeballs to the lacking broadcasts, web sites and newspapers. T.O. is just the type of news story that gets people to look and talk no matter what. Anything remotely negative will get a news update. LOL! And anything remotely positive will be questioned ...

Yeah, thanks for unbiased journalism. Frauds.

What about T.O.? Is his job secure?
or will he be doing Monday night Football on ESPN. If even they will have him.

Anyone realize Kim Etheredge tried to save the guy's life by calling 911? And then he announces publicly that he is firing her? You'd think he could have at least been classy and low-key about it... whoops, my bad, it's T.O. we are talking about. He isn't low-key...ever. So perhaps he staged the suicide and then fires her publicly just so people will pay attention. Like the little kid in my 3rd grade class... "Yo, yo, yo, pick me, pick me...look at me...I need attention...teacher....wwwaaaaaaaaaa... If he quietly hires her back, maybe there is some hope. If he publicly fights with her, then hires her back, we know he is staging things. What team will he bring his circus to next?
