Wade's here

Wade Phillips is in the building at Valley Ranch. He is meeting with owner and general manager Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones. I’m sure he’ll have a word or two with Bill Parcells at some point.

The Joneses became familiar with Phillips during meetings at owners’ meetings and at the NFL Combine over the years.

Not sure how long the interview will last, and we’re not sure if Phillips will be made available to the media or not.

This is too time consuming. Someone let me know when the bells are ringing and white smoke is blowing in Valley Ranch.

Hey Arch, hurry up and wade through all the details, will ya?

HA! Sorry.

Please tell me that the door remains open, if only slightly, for a shot at Lovie Smith, should the Bears remain cheap and empty of compassion for this great prospect.

Is Jimmy completely out of the question? I wonder why there still aren't tons of comments about him. Did I miss something?

Also, what about Ron Rivera?

Despite how much I respect the job that Smith has done in Chicago with that bunch, if a defensive guy comes in as HC, lets bring in a 3-4 guy. Smith is a 4-3, Tampa-2 guy.

I think Jerry has already made his decision on HC and is just going through the motions to keep the Cowboys--and himself--in the spotlight. I think the Joneses will interview either Ron Rivera or Norm Chow to satisfy the Rooney Rule, and then JJ will announce Norv Turner as the new HC.
