The biggest need on Wade Phillips' staff is special teams. The Cowboys recently talked with Oregon State's Bruce Read. He has five years of NFL experience with San Diego and New York Giants. From talking to several coaches familiar with Read's work here in Indianapolis, they said he is a detailed coach and has put together some solid units. |

Here is a concept ... maybe the Cowboys can hire Steve Hoffman back as a kicking coach? How many no-name kickers did he turn into fairly reliable kickers (at least until Parcells blew him out because he thought he was too easy on them)?

Eric, as long as you are dreamin' you can add the return of Joe Avezzano as special teams coach to your fantasy coach list.

Hoffman is property of the Dolphins. They signed him about a week ago.

Bring back Avezano and Hoffman. They made a great combo before and will again.
