Cowboys fourth-round pick Doug Free is often compared to fellow former Northern Illinois tackle Ryan Diem, who starts at RT for the Colts. Northern Illinois coach Joe Novak says Free has more potential than Diem. An excerpt of Novak's quote from Free's NFL.com scouting report: "Doug Free's a lot better athlete than Ryan Diem. (Free) can run! You just don't see many offensive linemen that can run at that size like he can. What's impressive is he'll sit back in pass protection and then we'll throw the ball down the field and he'll run down field and block a safety. I mean, get downfield! You just don't see kids who can do that. He's special. Our kids call him 'Doug Freak' because he runs so well." |

It reminds me of the time when Larry Allen chased someone from behind and tackled his butt on Monday Night Football. Gotta love that. Off topic, Romo is now engaged to whatsherface......sad, very sad. Hope he has a prenup!

Larry Allen ran down a New Orleans defender after Troy threw a pick in the superdome during their first or second super bowl season. It was a Monday night game and that was one of the moments when John Madden fell in love for Allen as a 'All Madden' guard. And I don't think it had anything to do with anyone's butt.

Great. If Free can run that well, can he cover receivers deep? Maybe he can challenge Pat Watkins.

She has more money than Romo, who we now know does not want ANY competition at QB. This whiney unproven would have been "astonished" if the Boys chose anyone to compete with him. We should have gotten Quinn. I guess Jerry would have passed on Troy it he could have traded for an out of the game insurance salesman.

Yeah, reminds me of the time TCU played N ill n the poinsetta bowl in SD and we got 2 sacks off him and he basically got killed. All I got to say is if your gonna draft this kid, better get Tommy Blake (TCU DE/OLB - unreal athlete, watch for him next season, he's been a stud ever since he was a freshman)next year because the abused Doug Free that game...I mean ABUSED - watch the tape!
