Lions WR Mike Furrey, whose claim to fame is firing a pass to crack a star behind the Cowboys' end zone, echoed QB Jon Kitna's bold statement that Detroit will win at least 10 games. "Right now, on paper, we look like we should win 10 to 12 games, easily," Furrey told the Detroit Free Press. For some reason, I don't think that paper Furrey is referring to included any info about the Lions' defense. Not everybody in Detroit is so delusional. Take, for example, the response from Furrey's wife when he came home all fired up after a workout and proclaimed the lowly Lions were playoff bound. "Well," Mrs. Furrey said, "you said the same thing last year." |

I wonder if that paper Furrey is talking about happens to be Zig-Zag cause he's obviously high.

The Detroit game this year scares me, especially since we'll be looking ahead to Philly the following week. Maybe they're our Golden State.

"Maybe they're our Golden State"?? I just hope they're not our Detroit from last year!!

Do not fear friends. As much as I hate to legitimize the Lions by caring about them, I am really looking forward to that Dec 9 game. I can only hope the Lions are in some sort of marginal playoff position because we're putting the women and children to bed and looking for dinner. Furball will pay the price for last year and TO will bust out a Chevy logo or something.

Talk about fantasy land. Just because they have Calvin Johnson doesn't make them instant SB contenders. They should be lucky to even win 5 games muchless 10 games. Besides, don't we play them again? Payback is going to be quite a B****, Baby. I know Wade has that date circled as does the majority of the Cowboys.

Remember they still have Matt Millen as the guy "STILL" trying to put a team together!
But, remember in the off-season, "every" team is tied for first place! Optimism abounds on every team.
My only fear for the 'Boys is the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and the offense was definately not broke and we are "trying to fix it!" I hope the offensed doesn't step backwards because of tinkering/tweaking the offense.

I sure hope Jerry sent the Furry One the bill for replacing that star. That's worse than what TO did on the star at center field a few years ago. Somebody shoud've smacked the Furry One upside the head for that!

They'll benefit from a weak schedule (one of the pluses of finishing the year before at 3-13), but where is the change in coaching or personnel?
I doubt they'll do much better than 3-13 this year.
BTW, a lot of the Tuna's turnaround "magic" had to do with the fact that his new teams were coming off bad seasons and they had soft schedules: e.g. Jets (1-15 before the Tuna, 9-7 in his first year) and the first year with the Boys, of course.
