At 8 p.m. today, the NFL Network is showing an America's Game episode focusing on the 1992 Cowboys, the ones that were one Leon Lett highlight away from a perfect game in Super Bowl XXVII.

Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin talk about how great it was and Alec Baldwin narrates.

That Lett play has to be the most discussed meaningless play in the history of the NFL. Great individual effort by Beebe in a total blowout that meant nothing.

I was looking forward to watching the show until I read that Alec Baldwin's voice was on there...I'll pass.

Best NFL team of all time. Lots to argue about and choose from, but this team could beat you anyway you played it. Quickest defense ever, biggest OL, Triplets, great coaching. That staff made great in-game adjustments.

This makes up for the NFL Network's showing of the 'Boys games against the Jaguars, Eagles, and Lions that they have been/will be replaying this week...

yes, what a team, the good ol' days. the real joy i got from watching the "glory year(s)" cowboys is how bad they were in '88 & '89. watching the likes of steve peuller, paul "boo boo" palmer, cornell burbage, derek sheppard, dean hamel & manny hendrix. remember them? to just four years later of troy, emmitt, michael, moose, novacek, tolbert, haley & woodson. ahhh, the memories.

Alec Baldwin??? That is enough to keep me away.

I was living in Washington D.C. going to collage, and watched that first of three Super Bowls surrounded by Redskins fans in a Georgetown Frat house. During the ensuing blowout I called everyone back in Dallas, put them on speakerphone, and reveled in the victory. Those were truly the good ole days.

Steve and LE, you are a couple rude, thoughtless little pigs!!! You guys have insulted me for the last time. You don't have the brains or the decency as human beings. You've made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. I'm gonna straighten your a - -es out when I see you, do you understand me?

Did Alec do the voice-over from his European-Exile?...and for America's Team? Ironic.

Posted by Hanker @ 2:06 PM Mon, Jul 09, 2007

The same Alec Baldwin who swore he was moving to Canada if Bush won his 2nd term? The same Alec Baldwin who called our troops terrorists? I am dissappointed that Jerry Jones allowed this un-american pig to narrate our team.

Not Canada, France. They're the only ones who'd want him.

Actually, this has already aired before on NFL network and I must say it's pretty good. I don't know if there is any real insight (most of the stories are old news) but it is a nice effort and Alec Baldwin is fine, so everyone calm down!

Is this the best gig Alec can get? I guess it is a step up from those cheesy Thomas the Tank Engine shows.

Does Alec Baldwin call up Leon Lett and berate him like he berated his "12 or 13 yr old" daughter?

Posted by The Other Brandon @ 5:55 PM Mon, Jul 09, 2007

No, he'll berate the Bills for embarrassing the AFC during the 90's.

I've got all those playoff games and Super Bowls from the early 90's on tape. I watch them all at least once a year, and I am always amazed and in awe of the sheer speed and athletism of those defenses we had. It was like watching Blue and Silver flashes when they attacked the ball and it always seemed there were at least 20 players on the field.....unbelieveable. Now consider the defense was the unsung unit of the team and well you do indeed have one of the greatest teams of all time.

Still doesn't seem like it was that long ago. We didn't really know how good we had it as Cowboys fans. Makes the past few years even more frustrating.
That being said, we had a one heck of a team that had one of the best runs ever.

And then the egomaniac owner (is he still here?) fired the ONE person most responsible for all of that historic legacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
