IF Vick is guilty then he should be done with football and shunned.

I hope he gets at least 4 games. I would much rather see 8+ game suspension. It's sick and disturbing. But what I would really, really, REALLY love to see is Vick have to be locked up in a mental hospital for a year or two. A dog fighting ring is no different to me than those sicko nutjob kids that kill every small animal in the neighborhood with a bb gun and grow up to be a serial killer.

Falcons will be neck-and-neck with the Browns and Raiders as worst in the league this year.

I live in Paradise, and I've missed only three Pro Bowls ever since the NFL wisely decided to stage the annual event out here... 26 years now and counting. Four years ago, the wild 55 - 52 NFC victory over the AFC, I was a VIP guest of FedEx, and I got treated royally by them (what a great company!). One of the items in my "gift bag" was a bobble-head doll of Vick. I subsequently placed it on the shelf in my home office along with some of the other "collectable" sports junk I've acquired over the years. Last Oct 15, 2006, I was just settling in for the Cowboys - Texans game, and keep in mind that the games start at 7 a.m. out here. Well, God decided to shake things up a little for us that Sunday morning with a 6.7 earthquake. Among other things in our house, several items from my shelf of sports junk fell to the floor, but the only thing that got broken was the Vick bobble-head doll... into three pieces. The bobble-head ended up in the trash then... kinda appears that the 'real thing' is heading that way now!

Whatever happens to Vick either legally or with his career will be far more humane than what he and his posse "allegedly" did to those dogs. The offenses they are charged with are just plain sick and cruel.

Imagine how the Falcons feel now trading away Schaub to the Texans this past winter. According to "Olympic sports" book, the over/under on the games the Falcons will win this upcoming season went from 10,,,to 6. That's an amazing drop. I'm taking the under. They now have no Quarterback. Vick is done.

Hanker, I wouldn't go that far quite yet. Vick has the money to get quality lawyers that can stall untill it's a convienent time for Vick to show up. And if convicted they'll have it so he won't be behind bars during the season (if he has to serve any time at all). So it's up to Roger Goodell to make sure Vick is taken out of the game and I doubt he's going to do anything severe untill a verdict is in.
Of course it's going to be a pretty big distraction for the Falcons. I'm sure PETA will be making Vick's life very difficult from now on. But I don't see a major collapse from the Falcons this season. And if we learned anything from what happened with Sean Payton you'll be seeing the NFL's best and most dangerous defense coming out of Hot Lanta thanks to Mike Zimmer.

This is definitely going to be Goodell's most challenging test in his effort to clean up the image of the NFL's players. Nothing is going to happen this year (besides a Grateful Dead like following of PETA protesters everywhere the Falcons play) because the courts won't move that fast. But if he is found guilty, and gets less than a full year's suspension, Goodell will take a huge hit for being soft when it comes to disciplining star players.
We better sign Romo this season, because the Falcons might be bidding high on a starting QB next year!

The new CBA contains a morals and ethics clause that will allow the NFL to suspend Vick without having to wait for any type of verdict.
His conduct as far as league standards and the CBA are concerned is what will get him suspended. Regardless if he is the face of the Falcons franchise, the mere fact that Vick was implicated and indicted is embarassing enough to the league and makes the situation no different than what the thugs Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson were suspended for. You can argue the point that over the course of the last seven years that Vick has been in the league that he has maintained a relatively clean image. However, it all comes down to violations of the CBA so a suspension no doubt will probably be handed down by the league.

It is very sad that someone who has been as blessed as he has, financially and otherwise, would turn out to be so undeserving of it all. All bets are off as far as I'm concerned and he should never hear the sound of a cheering crowd again.

I will personally show up at Vick's games and BOO very loudly. He a is disgusting excuse for a human being. Pure trash. What a sick-o.

AFTER READING VICKS BIO IT IS OBVIOUS HE HAS A WONDERFUL MOTHER WHO TRIED TO STEER HIM FROM NEGATIVE TEMPATIONS IN HIS LIFE.JUST READING ABOUT HER YOU KNOW THERE IS GOOD IN HIM. THEN WHY IF TRUE THIS ABHORRANT BEHAVIOR? A MAGNIFICENT ATHLETE WITH A GOOD DECENT MOTHER MUST HAVE HAD SOME STIMULAS TO DRAW HIM IN THIS DIRECTION [IF TRUE]

IF HE IS QUILTY HE WONT NEED THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM TO JUDGE HIM. THE PEOPLE WILL BE THE JUDGE OF THIS YOUNG MANS CHARACTER AND COMPASSION.

Vick knowingly gave a woman herpes in 2005, flipped off a crowd after a loss to the Saints in 2006, this year there was the "water bottle incident", and now animal abuse. Clearly the man is lacking a strong moral fiber. There's a hot spot in hell waiting for him after allowing so many of God's creatures to be tortured.
Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.
