Another bad omen for the Browns: Cleveland RB Jamal Lewis graces the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated. Not sure why the mag went with a washed-up running back, but the SI cover jinx eliminates any shred of doubt that the Cowboys will get a top-five pick out of the Brady Quinn Con Job. Combine this with sewage flooding the doo-doo Browns' locker room, and I think it's safe to expect one of the top three picks. |

It's all shaping up that way, but this is the Cowboys and we haven't had that kind of luck since the late 80's/early 90's. Is it safe to say that if the Cowboys DO get a top 3 pick, and they have a decent season this year (Romo plays up to the hype, Owens behaves, the current rookie class pans out, they win at least ONE playoff game, etc.), that they will be the favorite to win the Super Bowl in '08?

Stop it already, dammit! All these chickens being counted before the eggs are even layed! I hope you are right in your prognostication, but I grow weary of all this certainty about where the Brownies will end up in the standings come January! Don't jinx it!

William, I agree. At first I was thinking that we would get a high pick anyway. Now everyone harps on everything that happens to the Browns. This is just like a game where the commentator says that a certain running back hasn't fumbled in a ridiculous amount of carriers. Next play...boom, fumble.
