* FS Ken Hamlin, who sat out the preseason opener with a slight concussion, says he will practice this afternoon and expects to play Saturday against the Broncos. "I'm ready to get back to work," Hamlin said. * DE Jason Hatcher (hamstring) said he's hoping to return next week. He wants to play Aug. 25 against Houston. * Everything is OK for rookie WR Isaiah Stanback after he made his practice debut Saturday. He's not in the kind of shape he needs to be, but that's to be expected after being sidelined 10 months with a foot injury. |

fox sports radio is reporting that greg ellis is retiring due to injury....if it's true, sorry to hear that...being a north carolina fan and cowboys fan, he was one of my favorites.

I'm assuming the Cowboys/Broncos game will not be nationally televised this Saturday, since the 'Boys have already received that treatment and the Broncos will receive the same treatment this evening. That bieng said, will the game possibly be shown on Fox Sports Southwest? And, can we really expect Stanback to offer anything on the field this season? Maybe he can be the guy who runs out to get the tee after the kickoff, he should be fast enough to run out there, pick it up, and run off the field before the ball is caught and returned.

It's puzzling why Jones drafted Stanback so high. Now he will be likely make the roster, barring injury. Subsequently, Dallas will have to try and sneek some fine recievers through waivers. Good luck on that!
