Spencer's tough on himself

First-round pick Anthony Spencer was asked if anything stood out in his mind after his first NFL game.

His answer: Missing a tackle on his first play. Jason Ferguson blew up the play with excellent penetration, setting up Spencer to make a play in the backfield. But Spencer, who is making the transition from DE to OLB, had trouble getting off a block and missed Joseph Addai.

Spencer thought he was a split-second from getting a sack on a few occasions, but he acknowledged having some problems playing the run. He said he's comfortable when he's coming on a blitz, but he's hesitant when he has pass-drop responsibilities and has to read the tight end before reacting.

"That's probably the most difficult thing right now," he said.
