Stars will play 'zero snaps'

T.O. is making the trip to Minnesota, but don't expect to see him on the field during the Cowboys' final preseason game.

"Right now, we're scheduled to play zero snaps," T.O. said, punctuating the sentence with a huge smile.

I asked him if "we" meant the starting offense, and he responded that he was referring to proven players picked by Wade Phillips that don't need any more preseason work. Phillips indicated that tackles Flozell Adams and Marc Colombo might get a significant amount of playing time because they haven't had much live work since returning from knee surgery. But you can expect to see a lot of TV shots of T.O., Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Roy Williams, DeMarcus Ware, etc. joking around on the sideline.

"You don't want to go out and play the last preseason game and something freaky happen," T.O. said. "This is going to protect a lot of the guys, especially some of the starters. For the starters, this is not a game of importance to us."

I hope they don't rest the defense. They need all the reps they can get.

How ironic! That's exactly the number of minutes I planned to spend watching it!

Damn, and I already bet the over of 38. I knew I was in trouble when it dropped to 37.5.

Thursday can't get over quickly enough. Hopefully no one else gets hurt and the Boys can go about the business of preparing to give the Giants a sound beating.

Ya'll are putting too many eggs in your baskets. It's preseason, who cares. Win, lose, draw. It's about evulating players and practing some things. Other then that...the score and play of starters is about as handy as %#&'s on a bull.

This is possibly the most stupid thing I have heard. You get your butt handed to you in a game, then when the next game comes along you pronounce yourself ready, and look forward to the next. The thing about injuries is silly too. If someone is to get hurt, wouldn't you rather have a week or so to figure out your next plan of attack? This is the Cowboy aggogance those Houstoners were talking about. I do however agree that the preseason should be shorter.

This final pre-game will be very important to: Urban; Austin; Butler;Jones; Bowen; R Ayodele; Anderson; Polite (whom I like); Berger/Proctor; and Curtis/Bergen. Hope they play well and the staff make the right decisions.

This team is far from ready. It's a shame too. I was beginning to think this team MIGHT do some special things this year. Oh well, we can look forward to the knew stadium instead of the play offs.

Not real sure Roy Williams is ready to be considerd proven starter the only thing he's proven is that he WON'T wrap-up when he tries to tackle a RB jolting past the D-Line besides I wanted to see which X-OU player would run-over who...judging by the last two game performances of Roy DUBYA he'd be on his back tonight....AaaaGain!Also Im hoping Folk will do better than Dramatica did last week and please get rid of these 3-4yr 2nd,3rd & 4th stringer CB/DB that just dont get the job done when called upon.

Come On Cowboys...Doo Something!
