T.O. loves the way Jason Garrett is moving him around to create matchups. We even saw T.O. line up in the backfield several times against the Bears. He went in motion each time, but T.O. indicated that might not always be the case. "There's no telling," T.O. said. "You might see me tote one coming out of that backfield. You never know. But I ain't going between those tackles, I can tell you that." T.O. loves going across the middle. So why wouldn't he run between the tackles. Simple -- safeties don't weigh 300 pounds. "I'll take my chances over the middle," he said with a big laugh. |

If we're gonna be getting crazy in the backfield, why not put Pat McQuistan back there on short yardage situations? Did you see how he ran down Archuleta? That had to have been the most frightening thing he's ever seen in his life. I wonder what noise he was making while charging down the field. Was it a gurgling sound? A weird squeel? *shivers*

I aint sayin, I'm just sayin...but that play reminded me of Larry Allen hauling his big behind down the field I wanna say his rookie year, but I'm not positive. Heck, I don't even remember the game (Miami?) but that play is when I first noticed what kind of athlete Allen was, and of course the rest is history.
And like i said, I'm not comparing Larry Allen to McQuistan obviously, just sharing a memory. I'm sure others know what play I'm talking about.

I just read in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's website that Rams WR Isaac Bruce guaranteed a victory this Sunday against Dallas...

Bruce's "guarantee" was coaxed out of him by the radio host on his weekly program. What was Bruce going to say, "Yep, we will lose another one!"?
Heard Brian Leonard in a interview yesterday, and he sounded very upbeat. Said the Rams have a good game plan in place, and the locker room is very positive. Bulger had a full practice, so he should be OK for Sunday.
The Cowboys better not look past the Rams. We should be able to pressure Bulger all day. Leonard should have a good day, but it is his first start as a rookie. The offense should be able to put up 50 on the Rams defense. The cornerbacks and safeties are terrible.

That was Saints LB Darion Conner that Larry Allen ran down in 1994.

"Yea, Steven K. I know what play u'r talkin 'bout. I was thinkin of it too. L. Allen chased a guy down from behind and dove stretched out to tackle someone.
I think Madden was the announcer that day. I think him commenting on L. Allen is one reason I remember that play. It was awsome."
