The locker room is a lot quieter without injured NT Jason Ferguson and his daily sit-down comedy routines. "Fergie is unmatched at getting in this locker room and getting guys laughing," DE Marcus Spears said. "We'll all have to pitch in and do our part." Jay Ratliff, Ferguson's replacement, has no interest in filling the void of media darling. Ratliff talked to reporters today, giving measured, cautious answers to questions. Ratliff isn't a different type of nose tackle than Ferguson, with Ratliff relies much more on quickness than power. But Ratliff can learn a lot from Ferguson, who made an appearance at Valley Ranch this morning. Ratliff said he plans to pick Ferguson's brain on a daily basis. |

HEY GUYS... ANOTHER LEADER DOWN.. ANOTHER NOT STEPPING UP.. ROY WILLIAMS.. BRADIE JAMES... who on the cowboys defense wants to be a leader ??? no wonder why this defense has no killer instint sometimes.. will Roy Williams do a interview this week ?? if he doesn't then that shows EVERYONE WHAT TYPE OF LEADER HE IS..

Any chance that Ferguson could be ready for the playoffs? Or does putting him on I.R. eliminate that possibility?

jrs2300, how does doing interviews prove if you are a leader or not? I could care less if team leaders do interviews with the media, as long as they do the job of being a leader in the locker room and on the field. That is the problem now a days, too much talking in the media, let their actions and play on the field do the talking!

it doesn't Prove you are a leader Kevin.. But part of being a Leader is being Accountable ... would you agree... Roy is not accountable for his flaws.. Never... and that shows a lack of leadership. When Glenn left he said others need to pick up the slack.. When Newman is hurt he says others need to pick up the slack... What about him... Not Available for the Media ? But I bet you he will be if he gets INTS or Fumbles.. Does that show you Leadership ??
