The hosts tried really hard to get T.O. to talk some trash during his weekly radio show on 790 The Ticket in Miami. He wouldn't go along with their pleas for a guarantee, nor would he spout off about the one issued by Rams WR Isaac Holt. (UPDATE: Oops, meant Bruce, obviously.) And then they tried to get him going about the Cowboys' place among the NFL's elite teams. Follow the jump for T.O.'s P.C. responses and a plug for a charity event he'll attend tomorrow morning in Dallas. Patriots better than your Cowboys? “Man, y'all talking 'bout the Patriots, man? We're playing the Rams this weekend. We'll get to the Patriots when it's time to get to the Patriots. We're not overlooking anybody right now. When we get to the Patriots, we'll talk about the Patriots." Patriots better than the Cowboys? "When it's time to get to the Patriots, we'll deal with the Patriots. Right now, we're concentrating on the Rams. I think we've got two or three more games until we get to the Patriots. … I've got my eyes on the prize, and I'm trying to help my team keep their eyes on the prize. Once we start looking beyond teams and people and whatnot, that's when our focus is off of what it’s really supposed to be on. I'm trying to have everybody get their popcorn ready every week. Every week!" Colts better than the Cowboys? "Let's talk about this right here …" Are the Rams better than the Cowboys? "I'm going to be out at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk this weekend. Actually, it's tomorrow morning in Dallas at Victory Park. I'm participating in that, because it's very important to me. It's a terrible disease, and it can affect kids for life. We should all support the efforts of JDRF." |

T.O. is hall of fame in my books.
How is Terry Glenn doing?

T.O. is really shaping up. You gotta like his efforts.
Posted by BigTexKahuna @ 4:59 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
I'm liking Terrell Owens more and more thus far in '07. Heck... if he keeps this up, I just might even forgive him for dancing on The Star way back when... but that's a deep wound that's still festering in me. Who knows? Maybe it's curable... we'll just have to wait and see...

Who is Isaac Holt?
Posted by Jason @ 5:07 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
Not to be the jerk that is always correcting people, but it was Bruce that made the guarantee---not Holt.
Good for TO!!
Posted by Saint Jimmy @ 5:20 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
TO is starting to become one of my favorite players. As late as August I would have laughed if someone suggested TO would be a team leader in the category of Michael Irvin. But he's proving me wrong. Promoting charities, being the guy to help Romo out of his Seattle Slip funk, talking about teamwork and how sometimes he needs to be a decoy and clear out space for Witten, giving tips to Sam Hurd and DB's, talking about keeping his eye on the prize, etc. That's a leader in my book.
Posted by Steve @ 5:23 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
Isaac Holt has never done a thing in this league!!

"Little T grows up!"
Welcome to the world of adulthood TO. Good to see
Posted by nctrnl @ 5:49 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
It's actually Torry Holt #81 WR for the Rams. Isaac Holt was a DB for the Cowboys in the 90's. If my memory serves me right, he came over from the Viqueens in the Herschel Walker trade. He wore #30. I was only a kid back then, but I guess I'm showing my age lol.
Posted by Michael T @ 6:05 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
T.O. is pond scum! He still needs to swallow drano for his "Star Stunt" during his time with the 69ers. I'd rather lose without him than win with him.
Posted by michael t's mom @ 6:13 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
Go to your room Michael T. I told you to stop playing on the computer!!!

How is it that Torry Bruce hasn't been heard from all week?
Posted by Craig @ 6:23 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
This post illustrates clearly the fact that Timmy Mac's copy gets published before being run by his editors.
I just hope Terrell Crayton and Patrick Owens can get open this week against the L.A. Rams.

Clearly this article is wrong. I demand some traction!

I will tell you who Isaac Bruce is Cowgirl fans. He's the 2nd best receiver in the history of the NFL. He is certainly better than any receiver your lame team has had.

Posted by Willy Henderson @ 8:16 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
Michael T.
that was a long time ago. T.O. has been nothing but exemplary on and off the field as a Cowboy. Quit sounding like an ignorant little girl who only lives in the past and enjoy what T.O. is doing to help our Boys. Do not be such an idiot!
Posted by Brandon in Connecticut @ 8:19 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
Sal Governali, I heard you on the show and let me say this: That was by far the funniest thing I have ever heard in my entire life, I literally had to pull over to the side of the road to avoid crashing.
Note to Timmy Mac: That should be the Post of the week.

Hey "Rams Fan", talk is cheap. Lets see what you have to say on Monday. And Oh by the way, what is your teams record so far this season?
Posted by Willy Henderson @ 8:26 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
My apologies to all the little girls in the world for comparing you to such a jerk.
T.O. is one of the best atheletes of our generation, antics aside.
I have been a Cowboys fan since the beginning of the franchise, yea I'm that old, and if I can get over T.O. dancing on the Star so can you Michael T.
I for one am going to sit back and watch our offence with great joy and anticipation through this season and a deep run into the playoffs partly because of T.O.s' talent and drive!
P.S.
I believe George Teague made him pay for that big time.

I dare you to post on this blog on Monday when the Lambs lose.

Posted by Vaquero @ 8:59 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
Rams fan:
This is no place for you to come and showcase your stupidity and how little you know about football! The Rams should change their names to the Lambs. Your coach is getting fired at the end of the season!
How do you like that for a prediction! and Sunday's score:
Cowboys 31 Lambs 17
Posted by Rams fan @ 9:01 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
The Cowboys are the most overrated, over-hyped team in sports. YOu fans sicken me. Every year you think Dallas is the favorite to win it all. Guess what Cowtoys, it ain;t gonna happen. The Rams are better than Dallas, and St. Louis is a better city. Well, I do give Dallas credit where credit is due, YOU LEAD THE COUNTRY IN MURDERS! Congradulations for that distinction losers.

Posted by Rams fan @ 9:58 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
What would Romo's record be had he played as long as Bulger has? Those stats are an example of how you guys would go to prove your point, no matter how inaccurate.
Posted by Willy Henderson @ 10:10 PM Fri, Sep 28, 2007
To the pathetic little Lambs Fan;
You are right. I would MUCH rather be 0-3 than 3-0. How could be I so deluded?
Even though the lambs have a few players that I respect they are and always have been a second rate franchise with no tradition of winning.
I will be on this site on Monday, commenting on how our Boys looked against another loser, I hope to hear from you.
Only a person from your city would sink so low as to bring up something like a murder rate to compare sports teams, you must be a very desperate person. I feel sorry for you.

Rams fan...IQ points:
Zero!
You Lose!
Posted by BigTex84 @ 12:41 AM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
Mr. Ram, for a team that does not have a starting running back in Jackson, an injured quarterback in Bulger, or a WIN...I would be a little more humble coming to this site. No one is overrated yet, it's week 3!! Also, leaving out the career record of Romo and Bulger, Romo has a higher passing rating in 2007 (that's THIS YEAR) by what 40 points or so! If you want to be cocky, at least pick something to be cocky over...and something to do with football.
P.S. I researched your beloved city and found this:
"St. Louis has one of the highest per-capita crime rates in the United States. According to FBI statistics it ranked third in 2005 in the country's highest murder rates for cities above 250,000. According to Morgan Quitno's "America's safest/most dangerous cities" report, St. Louis has ranked among nation's worst three in per capita crime - 3rd in 2000, 3rd in 2001, 1st in 2002, 2nd in 2003, 3rd in 2004, 3rd in 2005, and winning the prize again in 2006."
So smart guy...or girl...if you wanna talk crime...go ahead, it seems that you would be well versed in it anyway!! Just don't do anything stupid after you see the beating...I mean the game!! I would hate for you to add to those statistics!!!
Posted by Rams fan @ 12:54 AM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
Chester, such simple words from a simple man. Fitting.
Willy Wonka,,,Dallas leads in murder, and you condem me for bringing it up. I can see you are very ashamed of this stat. I didn't make it up. It's true. Deal with it.
Little Tex,,true, St Louis is 3rd in murder,,,BUT DALLAS IS 1st. While trying to make your point, you just shot yourself in the foot. All big cities are unsafe if one lives in the ghetto, I don't. I live in a gated community down the street from Brett hull. However, Thank you for making my point all the more valid!
Posted by Chester @ 12:59 AM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
Thank you for the recognition of my simplistic genius...the purest form. Of course, Genius does have its limits, which differentiates it from stupidity, which doesn't...well, why am I explaining that to an expert on the subject?

Don't feed into Rams fans garbage, we all know what this cowboys team is capable of. It's going to be a great season. I'm Glad TO wants to be a teammate and leader, he's matured now and hes going to be a big help in getting that 6th ring for the franchise. How many pro-bowl players do you think we have this year?
Romo
TO
Barber
Witten
McBriar
Adams
Williams(As long as he can wrap up)
Glenn

Henry?
Tank?
Ellis?
Davis?
Folk?

T.O. is shaping up to be a leader.
I think he really wants that Team Captain status but I can't imagine taking it away from a motivator like Romo.

Never posted on a blog before, this stuff cracks me up. In all honesty, I think the Boys can do some real good things this year. As long as the D gets better and better as the weeks go by; as Romo said, this can be exciting.

Grew up in Dallas. Mongo Cowboys fan. Now live near DC and have to put up with Deadskins trash talk. Now I hear fear talk from them. Go Dallas.
Posted by BigTex84 @ 11:18 AM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
Mr. Ram...I am no simple man!! I am actually a complex woman who loves and knows football!!
Also, most people here don't live in the ghetto either...places like Plano, Highland Park, Lake Highlands, Allen, etc. are all suburbs of Dallas, but much safer. I actually am not in Dallas at all right now...I'm in medical school away from home!! So your point is invalid for a lot of these fans!!
Secondly, there's not much difference between 3rd and 1st when dealing with murder...either way, too many people are dying!! Making fun of a stat has nothing to do with football...or sports!!!
If you want to talk sports, fine...this is the site for that!! But murder is not something to be taken lightly and it can't be used to degrade a sports team!!!!
With that said, I am proud of T.O. for how he has represented this team!! Good for him!! Unless you are taking Bulger's place Mr. Ram, your talk won't bother anyone here!!!
Posted by Willy Henderson @ 3:02 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
BigTex84
I could not have said it better myself.
If Rams Fan wants to talk football that is one thing, but making light of murder is very gutteral and has nothing to do at all with what this site is about.
We will see of he has the courage to post on this site Sunday evening!
GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!
Posted by Rams Fan @ 4:30 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
Big Tex is a woman? Geeze, and to think of all the time I wasted talked to it. No woman should be blogging about sports. You should be in there ironing, subbmitting to your husband and taking care of your kids.
Willy Wonka, Dallas will lose, and you'll be gone from this blog.
Posted by Rams fan @ 4:35 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
By the way, who's making light of murder? I simply stated that your armpit of a city leads the world in murder. It's a fact. One of you genius's had the audacity to bring up St louis was 3rd,,,knowing Dallas was FIRST!. I still don't understand the "backfire".
I will say this losers. St louis has never killed a president before. (that is also fact)
Posted by Kevin @ 4:44 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
BigTex84,
You just proved the difference between an educated person vs an ignorance person. Comparing a sport team to murder statistics.
Lamb fans, take your medications now.

Thanks guys...I love the Dallas support!!
I need not iron or cook or clean up after anyone. I am 23 years old, a MEDICAL STUDENT, and not a mother or wife, I grew up in Dallas during the 90's (The Cowboys Era!!!!!!) and I guarantee you I know a lot about sports!!
I brought up St. Louis and their stats to you Mr. Ram to show that you are a pot calling the kettle black! YOU GOT CALLED OUT!!!! It's like getting a 45 on a test and you are laughing at the person who got a 40...both of you knuckleheads failed!!!!
Again I say, if you wanna talk murder and crime, go talk to someone else...it's not funny to any true fan of the game or life!!
As for football, we are America's Team and have had more success than your team has ever had!!! One super bowl in the past 6 years doesn't EVER equal 3 in 4 years!!!
P.S. Thank you for calling me a "genius", I didn't want to be the one to say it!! :-)
Posted by Rams Fan @ 7:29 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
Great, another woman doctor. What has Dallas done lately besides screw up a chip-shot winning play-off field goal? What is it about this team of felons that has you blinded by past glory? Nevertheless, the St louis Cardinals are America's team. Different sport, but much more popular speaking in ratio terms. America's team? Is that to imply that Washington D.C citizens love Dallas? Is it safe to assume that "America's team" are loved by the good citizens of Pittsburgh? Are the Philedelphia Eaggles fans annamored with "America's team? That tearm was used once, 35 years ago.
It's no differnent then "Castor oil". They don't use it anymore because things have improved over the years. Get it chick Doc wannabe?
Posted by Vox Veritas @ 8:31 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
The Rams have fans? WHO KNEW?!?
Posted by BigTex84 @ 8:39 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007
First off, I am no wanna be. A wanna be never will!!! I am in the stages of being a doctor! You kind of have to do this school thing to succeed. And heck yeah, I will be a female doctor from Dallas, Texas...and I'm damn proud of it!!
I must prepare you Mr. Ram/Fact Man...this blog is full of actual truths!!!
You brought up the 6-years thing, not I. So, you are also living in the past! I also never made up the term about America's Team. If it was used 35 years ago once, and I am 23...it must have been used again at least once in the past 10 years. But since you went there, I researched America's Teams. I got back the following:
"During the Cowboys' first game of the 1979 season [28 years ago, not 35], a nationally televised game against the St. Louis Cardinals (which Dallas won 22-21), the television announcer introduced the Cowboys as America’s Team and the nickname stuck.
Drawing upon this inspiration and that of other nationally followed sports teams, such as the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college football and the Boston Celtics in pro basketball. The collection DVD was named 'The Dallas Cowboys: The Complete History of America's Team'."
Oh, and check that fact about baseball being more popular in ratio terms:
"Football destroys baseball in television ratings and television revenue by demanding and getting television contracts that baseball can only dream about. And what is a better benchmark for popularity then television ratings? Plus football’s championship game, the Super Bowl, is part of pop culture in that practically everyone throws or attends a Super Bowl party each year. The Super Bowl is the highest rated broadcast on network television each year and serves as a gathering event for friends and families. Some companies even give their employees the next day off, which means that the Super Bowl is practically on par with a national holiday. None of these things happen for baseball."
P.S. If we are NOT LIVING IN THE PAST, let's just forget that Romo fumbled that snap and that you were watching us play at home with Torry Holt and Marc Bulger. Also, I never implied we were beloved by ALL U.S. citizens, just a lot of them! Why else are we the MOST VALUABLE SPORTS TEAM IN THE WORLD (Thanks Forbes)!?!? P.S.S. Most of our players aren't felons and never have been...hell, T.O. even has a clean rap sheet!!
If you want to challenge facts and intelligence...well, I wouldn't go there with me!! What else do you have, batter up!
Posted by Boyzfan @ 9:27 PM Sat, Sep 29, 2007

To poor little lambs fan,
I only repond to you because I feel so sorry for you, especialy when you try to match the little you have that you can call wits against an intelligent person like BigTex84.
Your poor third rate team is 0-3, please respond ON THAT POINT and that point only, I would love to hear your opinion on this.
To say something like you did to BigTex84 defines your mental capabilities. That is that you are an insagnifigent little moron.
You are only tolerated on this site because we believe that anyone had the right to express thier opinion, no matter how silly it is.
By the way I grew up in the D.C. area and there are many 'Boys fans here too.
I assume you are on this site because you want to stir up trouble. Nice try.
How do you figure your team is so great when you cannot win even one game? What is it about the winless Lambs that has you blinded to thier mediocraty?
Why don't you go back to your own site and commiserate with the rest of the losers in st. lousy. This site is for sports fans not little crybabies who live in a slum that they call a city.
BigTex84, don't waste your time on this little nobody who obviously does not have a grasp and is full of hate.

Look at little Willy Wonka taking up for the nurse! Ok, the Cowgirls have a slight edge going into the 4th quarter, but only, ONLY because Steven Jackson isn't playing, and Bulger is playing with cracked ribs, otherwise, we would destroy your sissy team.
As far as spell check,,,lmao, when one type's 90 words a minute, mistakes are bound to happen. Oh, and those pathetic uniforms the Cowbell's werar are hideous. A star on the helmet,,,big deal. THE RAMS ARE TWICE AS GOOD AS YOUR TEAM, JUST HAVE INJURIES. YOU WAIT,,,RAMS WILL BE IN THE SUPERBOWL(AGAIN), AND YOU WILL ALL LOOK AS FOOLISH AS YOUR TEAMS "OUTFIT"
Posted by BigTex84 @ 4:10 PM Sun, Sep 30, 2007
To officially close this blog, and your run on it Mr. Ram, I say one thing to you:
35 - 7
Bulger and Jackson aside, what caused the Rams to give up 35 points? What caused Marc to throw that endzone interception...that was no rib?
And last time I checked, the outfits never mattered. Philly won an amazing game last week in the ugliest outifts God ever created!
Your team is now 0-4 and will be returing home to St. Louis (the most dangerous city in the United States) soon. I think you should try out for a spot on the team! Good luck!!
P.S. I am no nurse (though there is nothing wrong with nurses), I am a STUDENT. Finally, I NEED NO ONE TO TAKE UP FOR ME...I SINGLE HANDEDLY EMBARRASSED YOU AND PUT YOU TO SHAME...much like the 'Boys did to your Rams.
