Tony Romo saw his first real NFL action the last time the Giants came to town. He replaced Drew Bledsoe at halftime and completed 14 of 25 passes for 227 yards and two touchdown passes. But it wasn't a pretty performance by Romo for a Monday night audience. Romo's first pass was tipped by Michael Strahan and picked off by Antonio Pierce. Romo threw two other interceptions in the 36-22 loss, including one taken 96 yards to the house by Kevin Dockery to seal the deal. "I wish I would have played well," Romo said today. "It was so exciting. It was electric out there, just a great atmosphere." Said Coughlin: "That was just the start for him. He made tremendous progress from that point on and has made a lot of plays." |

I remember his debut, but I remember his first start better. A group of us traveled to Carolina for the game, and had to listen to an obnoxious juvenile Panthers fan screaming in our face for the entire first half. The second half??? ... not so much!

Worth remembering the two picks he threw in the rematch against NYG. For both games, 0 TDs, and 5 interceptions, though he played much better in the 2nd game and the pass to Witten to set up Gramtica was a thing of beauty.
By the way, of his 13 ints last year, 9 came against just 3 teams--NYG(5), NO (2) and Phi (2).
Just sayin'...
