T.O. clarifies Time QB rankings

T.O. was asked about telling Time Magazine that Peyton Manning and Donovan McNabb top his list of QBs he'd want to see with the Cowboys. He shot a hole in any developing controversy, saying the interviewer said he couldn't include Tony Romo.

"At the end, I did put Tony in there," T.O. said, although that comment apparently got hacked out by a Time copy editor.

That's ridiculous, the media never takes anything out of context...

Sometimes the media has to grasp at straws in a pre-season where T.O. is being rather quiet.

Oh sure, blame the copy desk.

My god TO cant say anything. I am a long time cowboy fan and if someone asked me who i would want to be the quarterback i would say Peyton Manning too. So would most other people. I mean come on this is ridiculous try to get TO controversy news.

This just goes to show that some members of the media will twist and turn anything that T.O. says or does to make a better story out of it.

A typical yellow journalistic approach by a Time Magazine editor… it’s why I got out of that business!

Is Tony Romo in Peyton Manning's class or even Donavon McNabb for the matter.......no he is not.....is Mr. Romo considered an elite QB in the NFL...outside of Dallas probably not, how can he be considered elite he has accomplished nothing yet...let Tony get to the point where he can handle a direct snap consistenly and win a playoff game before we call him an elite player...its hard to believe but TO finally said something I agree with....

Well, Sandy, Tony Romo is considered a Pro Bowl qb outside of Dallas. As for MacNabb being elite, hah! He is what's holding back the Eagles. Philadelphia never had it as good as they did last year with Jeff Garcia. MacNabb can't win the big one. End of story. And each year, the injuries pile up and he become less and less mobile. That leaves his team to rely on his passing skills. Mr. Accuracy he is not. I'd rather take Romo. For right now and especially for the future.

PaulC: what an idiot. McNabb took the Eagles to 4 NFC championships and a super bowl. Plus, he was a member of 5 division winners out of 6 years, most ever in a short span in Eagles history. Plus, he was the winner last year's Cowboys-Eagles. Donovan McNabb lasted full 19 seconds...19 seconds!...against Cowboys' D. I am just surprised that Owens didn't name the man named Brady...perhaps you've heard of him? O where art thou, Ricky Williams?

TO is an idiot and doesn't know ehen to shut his piehole. However this isn't big news, he's always been an idiot.

"McNabb took the Eagles to 4 NFC championships and a super bowl."

Yeah, years ago. Last year, they were 5-5 with him as the starter.

T.O. is a jerk, and Tony Romo is not even in the same league as Charlie Frye. Cowboys 8 - 8 this season.
