![]() LOUIS DeLUCA / DMN T.O. talked during his weekly meeting with the media about how happy go lucky he is these days. He didn't always feel wanted or like an important part of the team last season. It's nothing but love now, which is why T.O. sees a star on his helmet for the rest of his career. "I do feel like a Cowboy," T.O. said. "At this point in time, I definitely would like to retire here and go into the Hall of Fame as a Cowboy. It’s a lot of fun right now." T.O. said he could see himself playing for another three to five seasons. He'll turn 34 in December, but he's a fitness freak who definitely doesn't look his age. But he doesn't expect to play into his 40s like former 49ers teammate Jerry Rice. "Jerry had a unique and uncanny love for the game," T.O. said. "That, that's the difference between he and I. He grew up with that football mentality and that was his dream. As far as for me, it's something I fell into. I’m very athletic. I'm able to do a lot of things. I'm very competitive, so that's pretty much my drive." T.O.'s first love is still himself, as his famous "I love me some me" quote indicated. His love for the game is directly related to the love he gets from his coaches and quarterback. "They're giving me those opportunities," T.O. said. "That's all I ever wanted last year. I think I mentioned that when I said, 'Why did you bring me here?'" We're seeing why Jerry brought T.O. to Valley Ranch, and it sounds like it's something we ought to get used to. |

How does Dale Hansen like his crow?
Posted by Jeff L. @ 3:13 PM Wed, Sep 26, 2007
Great point, Buddy. I had forgotten about Dale's little tirade. Going on and on about what a 'joke' Jerry Jones and the Cowboys had become, etc, etc.

Uh oh is this the first sign of TO angling for a new contract already??? I hope not.

T.O. wants to stay here only as long as Romo is here!We got to get TR locked up long term. It could bring other great receivers to Dallas in the future.

Yeah, yeah, Tony Romo and TO, bla bla. What about Jason Garrett? We CANNOT afford to let him go. I don't like the thought of him going to another NFC team next year.
I thought he was being groomed to be the next HC of the Cowboys?

This is really great!!! I'm elated to see this kind of positive emotion expressed by TO. This very positive joy is good for the team and the fans alike. And all I can say is, "Thank you, Baby! Right back atcha!!!"

Keep him for the year..he will blow it later and again the boys miss the big game..get some youth next year

Good to hear. He certainly has been a model citizen since Bill retired. Guess being referred to by your name instead of being called 'your majesty' in meetings is helping.

Keep Terrell for as long as he is healthy. The man keeps himself in shape, and is talented. There is really nothing unusual about anyone not performing well, when unhappy. I can't even do a good job of taking out the trash, when torqued.

You know, you might have a point titus.
If Romo continues to light up the NFC ol' Jerry just might be in a position to bring another top vet receiver in next year as a matter of fact.
I have all the confidence that Hurd will be a top 3rd guy, if not more, but Terry is 35 and if Romo could help Jerry attract another top receiver in free agency, then the boys could go for McFadden and a corner in the draft.

This whole situation is starting to sound like Philly II. TO wants the credit for 3-0 and unless he get it .... watch out.
Pray Romo does not start dating super models. Unlike Moss in NE who has no interest in fame, that seems to be all this ego maniac wants.

What the hell are you blathering about now, Eeyore?

I love to hear T.O. wants to go into the H.O.F. as a Cowboy. If we could keep our current WR unit for the next few years that would be great and hopefully Stanback can come along.

Robert...you must live under a rock!! Tony Romo went to Mexico to judge the Ms. Universe pageant, he was dating Carrie Underwood, and linked to Jessica Simpson!! Duh!! He has fame...he doesn't use it like a lot of people!!
And Moss not want fame?!?! I guess that's why he mooned the fans after a touchdown!! He didn't want to be seen!!!
Finally, in his post-game interview, T.O. praised about everyone (God, Wade, Jason, Tony, the defense, the offense, the Bears) for that win...he never once said anything about what he did alone!! Chill out dude...if you're gonna hate, at least come correct with your info!!

"Go T.O. & Cowboys!!!"
