This from Calvin Watkins in Buffalo ... NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will review Tank Johnson's case next week and decide if the defensive tackle's suspension should be reduced. Johnson is hoping to have his eight-game suspension cut to six games. As of now, Johnson is eligible to return Nov. 4 when the Cowboys play at Philadelphia. UPDATE: My mistake (not Calvin's) ... as of now, Johnson is eligible to return Nov. 11 against the Giants. And here's a link to a story. |

My guess is it is reduce by two games. Actual evidence of wrongdoing is not substantial enough.

If it means that there is one quintilla of a chance that Adam Jones' suspension gets reduced, sorry, Tank, but it's better for everyone if you stay suspended for the whole eight games.

Did Tank serve a few games of his suspension last year while he was still with the Bears? Which week did he start his suspension with the Cowboys?
In any case, I think Tank should definitely have his suspension shortened. I think he is willing to do whatever it takes to stay in the NFL.
ESPN blew the story of Tank getting arrested in Arizona way out of proportion. I'm starting to dislike ESPN more and more everyday. From what I hear in Chicago, Tank is an excellent teammate and person. I'm excited to see what he can do on the field.

Talk about spins : the DMN's article makes it sound like Tank has a decent chance to have his suspension reduced by Goodell's quotes on Tank and his recent behavior. ESPN however uses a few totally different quotes and makes it sound like Tank has no chance of a suspension reduction. Here's hoping ESPN is wrong!
