Tim MacMahon   E-mail   News tips

A lot of you folks were pretty perturbed that we didn't dig into the possibility of the Cowboys signing Grady Jackson after the Falcons cut the fat man. Well, he's going to Jacksonville.

The Cowboys never showed a hint of interest in Jackson. In related news, Tank Johnson will be eligible to play next week, assuming he doesn't get arrested before then.

We have a regular Woodward and Bernstein on our hands.

It only took 7 days and another team actually signing Grady Jackson before you guys could march Ed MacMahon onto the blog here and announce the Cowboys had no interest.

We had this pretty much figured ourselves out before the weekend, again raising questions as to how valuable you all here at the DMN blog are for anything.

Do you guys find out anything before the rest of the world already knows about it?

Tim will wake up tomorrow in his Roy Williams pajamas and find out there was an earthquake here in the Bay Area tonight.

Actually, I told you a week ago the Cowboys weren't interested in Grady Jackson. Click my name for proof. Have a swell night!

Come on Mike, Tim was indeed on top of this like a week ago.

Either get over it or go to J-school yourself. Come on. Maybe since you're in the Bay you can root for the 9ers or something, I'm sure their blog is WAY better than ours....

Yes I read the Grady Jackson commentary from T-Mac. T-Mac you can't make everyone happy just keep up the good work. However, if you could be completly Cowboys biased that would be a plus. There is no rule that says a sports writer can't be insanely loyal to the team and fan base. I want someone to tell me every week why my favorite team is going to beat the ever loving crap out of whoever is next. So could you tell us why we will completly destroy the Eagles in front of their nasty home fans? Forget neutrality and give the boys some love.

F**K THE EAGLES

Sorry bunch of scumbag fans, cheering when Michael was temporarily paralyzed. This is why we all hate Philly.

PS It is my dream to walk into the Linc someday with a T.O. Cowboys jersey on. I cannot die until this happens.

Posted by TSmith @ 12:31 AM Wed, Oct 31, 2007

T-Mac covered Grady. Lets talk about Donabb getting victimized by the Cowboys D. Dave in Dubai I am with you on the T.O. jersey in the linc. However, anyone with the cojoles to go in there dressed like that would need a wheelbarrow to carry them.

Tim, I have supported you for awhile now, but why must you feel the need to take shots at the players? Was the last sentence of your entry really necessary? Has he done nothing but be a model citizen since he got out of jail? Does he not deserve a second chance?

This is the kind of crap that is pushing your readers away to other blogs. Surprising as it may be, you are not the only show in town.

Have some class dude.

since we're off topic:

D in Dubai, i have a similar 'dream'. i want to go to Philly for a Cowboys game in my Cowboys gear. TO's jersey would be great!

if someone's willing to pony up the $ for the trip i'd do it this week....i have health and life insurance. (have camera, will travel)

i'd also love to go walk around Buffalo wearing Cowboys and Stars gear. i'm sure the locals would love that. maybe a t-shirt that says "Buffalo, Dallas' little step-child"

Go Cowboys!!!

Oh sorry, Tim! What you said wasn't a report. Far from it. Also, you buried your shot-in-the-dark guess in a bunch of BS as usual.

And I will definitely have a nicer night than you because I know I won't wake up in the morning an intern in a dying industry. Have a nice Wednesday!

Who pissed in Mike's Cornflakes?

Seriously, though, I take exception to the last comment, "...assuming he doesn't get arrested before then." Like sarcasm, jokes about someone's past is the laziest sort of humor that takes no skill nor imagination to conjure.

Lay off Terry unless he does something again to get himself excommunicated from the league.

Definitely agree with Michael! That was a low shot, Tank Johnson is attempting to clean up his act!

As one of Mike Meyers characters would say...that was hurtful and unnecessary!!! Dude, you should have blocked your own post!

MC - Being a proud Boys fan in the middle of Eagles country, I must admit that going to an Eagles game in cowboys gear isnt advisable, espcially when we have a good chance of winning. Ive narrowly missed a number of fights, beer bottles, D batteries and other potential weapons during my (4) forays into the Vet/Linc. Fun to taunt but most Eagles fans are like pit bulls; ALWAYS potentially dangerous. They have COURT in the stadium for chrissakes!

Posted by sandy @ 1:30 PM Wed, Oct 31, 2007

yeah, and the beer bottles and D batteries are just what the WOMEN there throw!

Posted by Roy Banes @ 2:40 PM Wed, Oct 31, 2007

What's the deal with you guys? It was a comment made in jest. Dang, no one can say anything anymore, because it hurts the sensebilities of someone. Say and write what you want Tim and let the pices fall where they may. All these p----s will cry anyway, so tell it like it is.

The last sentence was completely unnecessary and inappropriate. Tank's been through a lot and deserves a second chance. Like Chris said above, have some class.
