Talk about adding insult to injury. The NFL hit Tony Romo with a $5,000 fine for the play that he suffered his strained hamstring. The league determined that Romo needed to cough up some cash for sliding into the legs of a Vikings defensive lineman who planned to bury him in the Texas Stadium turf. "You kidding me?" Romo said. "I was trying to avoid him!" |

Anyone else think Jerry should be picking this one up?? I mean if he wont sign the guy to the contract he deserves he should at least be paying his BS fines...

This is dumb....goodell's decision's lately have gone down the tube since he decided to go easy on the patriots. But i guess we should be grateful Romo only got fined by the commish and not suspended...with Goodell saying he holds QB's to higher standards.

This is so totally ludicrous...Big Bad dog Goodall is really getting out of hand.

I understand that he was sliding to avoid getting hit but it is illegal to go low when 2 players are about to be engage in contact. Trent Green should have received the same fine a few weeks back when he got knocked out by the def lineman knee cause he decided to go low. Everybody came down hard on the lineman but it ws the QB who was in the wrong for going low.

Shame on Tony for trying to brutalize those poor, defenseless, little D Linemen.

The NFL is soooooooooo hypocritical. They fined TO for using the ball as a camera prop. But check out the Chargers/Texans game and there was a Chargers defender that used the ball as a baseball prop. And it wasn't even a TD. But will the NFL fine that guy? They should but probably won't.

It nothing unusual for the league to shove it to the Cowboys, just the norm for the Northeast controlled NFL.

It is not unusual for the league to exercise bias action against Dallas; just the Northeast controlled NFL. Such actions will never change; its just the nature of the Beast(East).
