![]() DMN FILE Randy Moss stood outside the D/FW Marriott following his pre-draft visit to the Cowboys and vowed to make every team that passed on him pay. Reckon Jerry should have listened. Moss went 5-0 against the Cowboys wearing No. 84 for the Vikings. He went 1-0 wearing No. 18 with the Raiders. He has 20 catches for 675 yards and 10 TDs in six games against America's Team. I see no reason why he shouldn't pad those stats wearing No. 81 for the Patriots. A game-by-game look at how Moss has carried out his vendetta against the Cowboys: Vikings 46, Cowboys 36 (Thanksgiving Day 1998) -- A spin doctor would say that the Cowboys held Moss to three catches. Too bad they were all long touchdowns. Moss' pretty much cemented his Rookie of the Year status by blowing up for 163 yards and three TDs on national TV. Poor Jerry was ambushed with questions forcing him to justify taking Greg Ellis in the first round. Vikings 27, Cowboys 17 (Nov. 8, 1999) -- The Cowboys were rolling until Emmitt Smith, who rushed for 140 yards in less than a half, left the game after breaking his hand on his second TD run. It was all Minnesota from there. Moss contributed six catches for 91 yards and two TDs to the Viking comeback cause. Vikings 27, Cowboys 10 (Jan. 9, 2000) -- Moss helped end the Chan Gailey era in Dallas by catching five passes for 127 yards and a TD in the Vikings' wild-card win. His TD was the biggest play of the game -- a 58-yard bomb in the final minute of the first half that gave Minnesota the lead for good. Vikings 27, Cowboys 15 (Nov. 23, 2000) -- Moss put on another show in his second Texas Stadium visit, catching seven passes for 144 yards and two TDs. "Anytime it's a big game in front of a national audience, I just want to show people what I can do," he said after the game. "And I want to show them they did mess up on draft day." Vikings 35, Cowboys 17 (Sept. 12, 2004) -- Moss was a decoy for most of the game, after which Bill Parcells called out a Cowboys defense that allowed five touchdown passes. Moss was held to four catches for 27 yards, but he scored twice. Raiders 19, Cowboys 13 (Oct. 3, 2005) -- Moss didn't pad his touchdown total, but he caught four passes for 123 yards. |

Based on Moss' history against the Cowboys, you can bet he is going to have a huge game against us and it's likely to be a better one than TO too.

Why do I get the feeling we are going to see the ugly side of T.O. after this one. T.O. wasn't bad in a big game up against another superstar years ago (like he showed the Cowboys up with San Francisco), but I'm not sure that this year's model can keep up. If he can't, then he starts talking. And that's never good.

Not so fast, Timmy. Think for a bit..I know it's a stretch for you, but let's attempt it. From 1998 til 2005, were these playoff years stacked with deep personnel in every position, lacked controversy as it was filled with team chemistry, had a stable coach???? No to all the above. We have them NOW. The defense is 10 times better, the offense stable with a franchise QB who can scramble and make freaking plays like no one's business, and a kicking team bar none. That's why Moss is going to get his bell rung if he goes down the middle. Don't you think Bradie James and Roy Williams foaming at the mouth? Plus, you know Phillips and Romo and TO are in the film room trying to find those weaknesses. When they do, it's all over people. So the Moss theory is weak all over. NEXT.................

Actually, by superstar standards, his last two games against Dallas were effective, but nothing outstanding or notable in any respect. The only thing that will kill that storyline is Dallas actually winning.

Marcus........He left a note on his locker. It's to let those in the media, including this blog, that he's on pace to take this game to a different level. In fact, he's let them know, in a subtle manner, he's the Original 81. Did you see the PS part? Getcha Popcorn Ready..........For the N.E fans, get that Clam Chowder ready, and make sure you have some towels as it's going to spill all over you after we trounce the lowly patriots.
As for you pseudo-blog journalist, better hope we don't win, because I'm going off TO will have nothing on me.......you digg?

this is what concerns me: by posting that note and referring to Moss as the "other 81" he provides extra incentive for Moss explode on the Cowboys again. I'll be pleasantly surprised and shocked, quite frankly, if T.O. outperforms Moss. I just don't see it happening.

I would take TO any day over Moss. Imagine what if: Jerry found a way to bring sign Moss to line up with TO.

When I found out that the Patriots got Moss for a 4th round pick, it made me think he would have been worth the risk for the Cowboys.
Moss just scares me on the field. He always seems to have good games against the Cowboys. I think the defense will have to be very physical with Moss and Brady to win the game - and even that might not get it done.

Hey Tim, got any numbers for TO against the Pats?

I'm a little concerned about Terence Newman. If you noticed on that interception return they caught him from behind. Newman is supposed to be one of the fastest guys on the team and not just one Bills guy but there were about 3 or 4 guys who almost caught him. He's still hurting and I'm sure Belicheat noticed as well and will exploit that.

I don't think it's coincidence that Randy's worst 2 games came against Newman.

Yea, he has torn the Cowboys in the past, but they were also a terrible team back then. If I remember correctly their secondary had George Teague and Kevin Smith.

Yeah, Randy Moss pretty much owns the Cowboys, he is still upset that the Cowboys passed on him (17 other teams passed on him too, of course this is conviently forgotten by the media, and I am pretty sure three quarters of those teams didn't get a player as good as Greg Ellis). I expect he will have another big game on Sunday, win or lose.

let us pray, please dont let randy moss and the pats kill us.

I'm not just focused on Moss. It seems Donte Stallworth always has huge games against the 'Boys.

The days of the No. 84 purple cowboy eater are long-gone. Moss has performed at such a high level for the Pats that he has nowhere to go but down.

Heres to the 2007 Cowboys to put a stop to the Randy Moss beatings & Upset the Patriots if not then I expect an even UGLEEEIER showing from The Boyz at home then what they displayed in Buffalo I hope the game winner will be left up to FOLK.
GO COWBOYS!!!
