I actually forgot to put this in the Tale of the Tape -- it's in there now -- and thought it was important. Or at least interesting. Here goes: During the game, the Giants sent more than six men in pressure once. Patrick Crayton got the ball. They sent five guys on four occasions in the second half. On two of them Crayton got the ball. What does it say? Probably that Tony Romo trusts the receiver, because the receiver usually is where he’s supposed to be. A lot of times in blitz situations, a quarterback’s targets have to make sight adjustments or hot reads. And there are times when the quarterback’s view is blocked by rushers. So he has to know there will be a guy where he’s throwing it. Watch Crayton’s touchdown, with eight rushers coming after Romo. The timing was perfect, Crayton was there and the defense didn’t have a chance. In the third quarter, Romo unloaded the ball quickly to Crayton for 15 yards along the sideline on a third-and-7. And later on that drive, on a third-and-13, Romo got rid of it in a hurry to Crayton on a drag – similar to the touchdown – and the receiver wound up with 15 yards. Part of it, to be sure, is that the opponent is probably compromising coverage in Crayton’s direction in such spots, with T.O. a bigger concern. But it also, without question, is a matter of a QB having faith the guy on the other end will bail him out. |

EXCELLENT! Just more fuel to the 'Crayton-can-shoot-off-his-mouth-all-he-wants' fire, which was started earlier within the blog. Once again... as long as he's producing like this, he can flap his jaws until the cows come home.

How 'bout them Rams??? Let's see, 1-8 record--I'd say they suck... Is this the part where you tell us about those poor little lambs from St. Louis still being "mathematically alive" for the playoffs???

Should knowing how to spell be a requisite for posts on this blog by other teams' fans?..if at all?
"EXCELLANT"

When did football become a gentleman's sport? Isn't that Golf? That's why I, yawn, love to watch golf so much.

You are in luck, Dave. The Rams are giving up football and are forming an amateur golf team next season. They have already signed Tiger Woods' cousin, Puddy Tat Woods. This could be a great move.

Good stuff Albert. I wonder what kind of contract Crayton is going to want to stay with the Cowboys? You have to assume the Cowboys will re-do TO's contract after the year and probably extend it by a year maybe 2 and surely they will use one of those number 1's on a WR. Glenn has a big contract so you're starting to look at an awful lot of cap space being tied up at one position.

Just a reminder, I predicted that the cowboys would be 14-2 when the season began along with another Super Bowl victory!!! Its all coming together and I'm enjoying it. They will be a Team to deal with in the futher.

Well, they are also more likely to send the person covering Crayton then they are to sent the person covering TO. Even when Dawkins blitzed when TO scored agains the Eagles, Dawkins admited they he errored in his coverage when he blitzed.

Mr. Breer, that was great info. I'm really impress with your knowledge of the Cowboys. Its great to see real fans that can help enlighten those haters in the NFL. Whats your thoughts on the steroid deal that being played out in the papers in Dallas. Keep up those great comments. I really like your input.

I like how Crayton is taking the attention away from the other receiver we got. Do you think this is planned between pc and 81 or is crayton simply trying to steal the attention away? BTW, the Rams have already had 2 games blacked out, and they stopped showing Rams games throughout most of the state as well.
