![]() AP The Cowboys won their eighth consecutive road game, the second-best such streak in franchise history. WR Patrick Crayton, fresh off a five-catch, 66-yard, one-TD performance, explained why the Cowboys whup so much [rear] on the road. "We love playing on the road," Crayton said. "One, because you love coming into another man's home. It's kinda like an invasion. "We're kinda like big dogs, with what we're trying to do. We're trying to come in, urinate a little bit, and mark our territory." And I thought that it was just the Jersey air that smelled so funky. |

Timmy, the Chargers are absolutely destroying Peyton Manning. THREE INT's in the 1st quarter and down 16-0 and about to go down at least 19-0 since they're already in field goal range.

HAHA.. Nice one Pat! And in that dump of a stadium, it always smells liek that. Oh, wait.. That was Eli's tears getting stale.
Posted by Tom Landry @ 8:08 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
"Eli's defining moment" said the NY Post. Well, his moment is a big, fat, silver and blue L. Jacobs...keep talking noise, fatso. You and the secondary, waving to TO as he runs by. Madison? Gibril with the girly name? Is anybody home back there??? Enjoy your trip to Detroit next week, fellas! SWEEP. Out.

Who needs TO when you got Crayton running around with quotes like that. Urinating where?
Posted by David (Too Many Davids) @ 8:13 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
That was classic. Nice one Crayton.
Posted by Saint Jimmy @ 8:14 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Bernardo, I think the location was the dead and bloated playoff hopes for the Giants.
BTW, I think Citizen Watches should get their money back for making that "Eli Manning is Unstoppable" commercial. They need to learn Romo's phone number if they want to promote their watches as "unstoppable".

This has nothing to do with anything Cowboys, but Peyton Manning has just thrown his 4th interception and the first quarter has just started...
Posted by DAN @ 8:17 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Crayton had better settle down fast. Before he ends up being remembered like Freddie Mitchell, late of the Birds.
Contribute for a few years, get to a few pro bowls, earn a few Championships, then maybe consider running your mouth like some gang banger from the inner city.
I'm all for confidence, I'm not for pushing your luck.

I meant the 2nd quarter, sorry...
Posted by Ozzie @ 8:19 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Make it 4 int in the first half for the other Manning! This can be another record setting day for the Manning Brothers!
Posted by bob @ 8:21 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Manning brothers are on pace for a double digit INT day!

this guy has to win something

So did you guys liked my prediction from this morning?
Posted by Evan Mulligan @ 8:29 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Tell Crayton to shut his damn mouth. The Cowboys are at best #2 in the league right now. Follow TO's lead (suprised I am saying that) and show respect at least in the media. Pretend like you have been successful and not like a piece of trash with no education. I am a huge fan, but have some class. Don't be like the Patriots!!!
Posted by JD @ 8:32 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Patrick plays great, but I agree that he should let his play do his talking so he doesn't become another "Fred Ex."
Posted by Brandon @ 8:33 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
right on, ozzie. GO 'BOYS!!!
Posted by Ozzie @ 8:39 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Thanks Brandon! I guess I was lucky because I was wearing my Grey cowboysplus.com T-shirt when I made that Post! Go 'Boys!

I am all for being respectful but in a league where it seems that rivalries are only appreciated and remembered by the fans I think this is great.
Lets get these NFC rivalries back to where they were. I want my teams to hate each other.
Posted by chris graham @ 8:49 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
back off crayton he is a winner.
Posted by Red @ 8:53 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
I love that confidence. this is what i was asking for last year. Get that Dtown 90's swagger back! This is the happiest i've been after a game as a cowboys fan since superbowl 30!
Posted by 5xSuper @ 9:01 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Does anyone think Crayton sounds like Freddy Mitchell? Remember him... "The Peoples Champ"? When is Terry Glen getting back?
Posted by Saint Jimmy @ 9:03 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
I totally agree with all of these hypocritical fans bashing Crayton for talking some trash. IT'S A RIVALRY GAME!!!!!!!!! I seem to recall some Cowboys Heroes of years past talking trash to the media about the George Allen Redskins.
I call ya'll hypocritical cause I know ya'll wouldn't dare say anything bad about Roger Staubach and company. Plus, I know for a fact that when ya'll bump into an Eagles fan that ya'll aren't saying "I really like that McNabb guy and think you've got a fantastic team".
Personally I'm loving it that someone has the cojones to stir up the rivalry pot. And to all of those haters out there you need to remember IT AIN'T BRAGGING IF YOU CAN BACK IT UP!!! And at 8-1 we're certainly backing it up.
Posted by TWJB @ 9:04 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Freddie spoke for himself. Crayton speaks for the team. The players share his sentiments. How many probowlers last year? How many folk gave the Giants the game this week? America has given the Packers the conference.
Crayton spoke the truth and expressed the team's feelings.

Saint Jimmy - Preach it. It reminds me of the late 70's and early 90's. It's about time.

This team is coming together and playing very well. The defense is creating turnovers and the offense is taking advantage of them. Overall great team effort.
Posted by 5xSuper @ 9:12 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
There are some things, that sound off base, that comes along with typing sentiments.
Lets get this straight; I enjoy watching Crayton, but I don't feel comfortable as a fan, listening to him speak freely for the team.
With that said; if that constitutes as a "hypocrite" St. Jimmy; then so be it.
Posted by james muckleroy @ 9:18 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
what a stupid comment and quote. I hope he doesn't keep saying the wrong things...plus that stunt with ball over the goal-line was esp stupid. I think it's high time to reign him in. He's a good player, but enough of that.....
Posted by David (Too Many Davids) @ 9:31 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Anyone notice the delay on all of the DMN Cowboy stories other than the blog? They must be having to scrap all of their "Why the NYGs wone the game" stories.
Posted by DAN @ 9:32 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
There's no hypocrisy.
We're fans, NOT players.
We can talk trash all we want, that's expected.
Not the players however, they're supposed to respect the league, respect their team, respect their storied past and respect, despite the garbage strewn by the Giants, respect their opponents.
Why did you guys think we saw so much cheap shotting last week, where one Eagle went after Witten's skull, and another tried to drive Jones' skull through the ground.
Football is INTENSE ENOUGH. You don't need trash talking to heighten any rivalry.
So for those who crave trash talking, start viewing hip hop "music" videos.
This is the NFL, this is the League of Halas, Lombardi, Hank Stram and Tom Landry. This isn't the blood and the Cripps.
There's too much trash talking, chest thumping by a pack of losers. And here I'm not talking Cowboys, I'm talking all of sport. Hell, you see run of the mill teams in nowhere conferences making like they were world champs. Enough of the crap.
It's almost becoming a national plague, a national calamity.
Posted by 5xSuper @ 9:33 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
TWJB,
So, what you're saying, is that, the team's feeling is; "We're trying to come in, urinate a little bit," and mark our territory... I have to say I didn't hear that sentiment in Phillips, Romo's, or Owen's, press conference on ESPN 2. Crayton is good... but like I said above, I'd rather have someone else speak for the "team."
Posted by Charles @ 9:34 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
I don't know if this changes some of y'alls opinions, but Crayton is from DeSoto. What does that have to do anything? I'd be willing to bet he's as big a Cowboys fan as any of us, and he probably remembers those old school rivalries. Also, like TWJB said, Crayton isn't talking about personal goals. He's giving an incredibly, brash, but personal assessment of his teammates' perspectives.
Posted by ernest t bass @ 9:49 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Relax 5xSuper, the self-anointed expert on all things almost always resorts to name calling when someone else's opinion differs from his own. Least he could do would be to learn how to to spell "y'all" in his Bloated Blowhard attacks.
Posted by David (Too Many David's) @ 9:52 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
"This is the NFL, this is the League of Halas, Lombardi, Hank Stram and Tom Landry."
I don't think it is anymore and to be honest I don't think it was exactly how you remember it was back then either.
I know today that if you did a poll, Hip Hop would win hands down as the music of choice.
Posted by gpaq @ 10:23 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
love romo but maybe he should step up & tell crayton to shut up. he's embarassing us.
Posted by Victor @ 10:34 PM Sun, Nov 11, 2007
Damn dan : when did u become commissioner of the no fun klan.
Here we are in the middle of a possible SB team, & you go throwing egg on their accomplishment.
I rather they talk trash - & this isn't even G-rated stuff - & than do crack & other meds or go run over ppl while drinking & driving.
Dan you are dimissed. loser.

Let my story be a lesson to big-mouth Patrick Crayton. (Btw, I'm a huge Cowboy fan, but I would much prefer they let their awesome play on the field speak for itself. Show some class. Be more like the players on the Pats or Colts.)
I'm the #1 magical clown in the Metroplex. $7 of every $10 spent on magical clown entertainment goes to me, and I don't brag about it. Take it from the #1 Magical Clown in the Metroplex Crayton and zip it. You're not a #1 receiver on any team in the NFL, and when Glenn comes back, you'll be #3, where you ought to be.

I can agree with Crayton. I took a leak out by the turnpike one night.

all of yall need to get off of patrick crayton because if you look at his stats he's having his best season as a cowboy so look at the stats before yall talk ................ I guess i' the only diehard cowboys fan.........keep talking crayton
Posted by Chase G @ 12:20 AM Mon, Nov 12, 2007
c'mon everybody, lets take a deep breath and calm down a little bit. crayton came in, won a big game, and as the spoil system dictates is allowed to say what he wants. and to everyone who is against it, look at it this way, crayton is giving us a reason to tune in to otherwise vanilla post game interviews.
Posted by Dan @ 12:38 AM Mon, Nov 12, 2007
Emmett was once asked why didn't he spike the ball when scoring a touchdown.
Emmett derisively answered that those who do the big act, "act like they're not getting back there anytime soon."
Crayton's actions are those of a loser.
We've seen teams, athletes in all major sports, in all the top venues, all across the world, and usually the trash talkers end up losing.
There are reasons for that, which I won't go into now.
But most of those reasons have already occurred to.
Notice I didn't say any fan couldn't or shouldn't trash talk.
I just said that PLAYERS shouldn't trash talk. You makes you look like an ass when you spout off, and can't back it up.
And it just doesn't make ya' "look like" an ass, it prima facie evidence of assdom.
Freddie Mitchell Crayton isn't going to be long in a Cowboy uniform, and he can take his trash talking 3d receiver ways elsewhere.
I'm interested in seeing my team win; I'm not interested in freakshow theatrics.
And yes, class and dignity have always been a part of this franchise.
Crayton is a departure from the norm. He should be quashed.
Don't you guys remember when Crayton went up one handed for some lame attempt at a catch against New England, and Phil Simms rightfully slammed him? Don't you guys recall any of that? WE WERE DESPERATE for a first down at the time, it was the 1st quarter, we were going nowhere, yet Crayton is out there half-assin' it.
If that's the kind of performance you guys want to excuse, rationalize and defend, ............. get used to playoff appearances, but no championships, no trophies.
'Cause that's not the attitude and behavior of champions.
I hate that type of behavior, see it all the time in the NBA. And isn't that real joy to watch.
Posted by Dan @ 12:43 AM Mon, Nov 12, 2007
And for the record, I USED TO LIKE CRAYTON. He showed up huge last year, in many a clutch situation.
But now........... he's running off his mouth, he's like Freddie Mitchell, and he's going to make our team look bad, sooner or later.
The team should tell him to shut the hell up. He's not T.O.
He's not Witten, and you don't see those guys running their mouth before and after every game.
It's Freddie Mitchell all over again. But this time instead of embarrassing the birds and Philadelphia, ............. Freddie Mitchell Crayton is setting our team up for derision and mockery.
We can see this one coming a country mile off.

Urination complete.
Posted by Steve @ 7:57 AM Mon, Nov 12, 2007
You all are the weakest bunch of fans I have ever heard of in my life. Must have gotten beat up in school alot as well. You want your team to win the game (with good sportsmanship..even if the opposing team doesn't), help your opponent off the ground and make sure he's okay.
A bunch of pure sissies. This is football dammit! Not cricket. This is the way it's SUPPOSED to be idiots.
I'm down with the Cowboys right or wrong. If you not, get the Hell off the bus and go play with your momma you fake Cowboy fans.
GO COWBOYS!!!!!
Posted by joe @ 10:44 AM Mon, Nov 12, 2007
On behalf of most Cowboys fans I hope he doesn't make comments like that on ESPN this week.
