There are some serious injury issues. According to the Journal-Sentinel's Greg Bedard, CB Charles Woodson and DE Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila are no sure thing to play on Thursday night.

Both will be game-time decisions, and either sitting would be a big blow to the Packers' chances. In a scheme that demands a corner being able to man up on receiver, losing a cover guy like Woodson could adversely affect flexibility in defensive play-calling for Green Bay.

And KGB sitting would make the problem even worse. He has 9.5 of the team's 30 sacks, and his absence would allow the Cowboys to chip and slide to Aaron Kampman (11 sacks) more, and perhaps even keep tight ends and backs in to block less often.

Losing one or both may not be a crippling blow to the Packers. But playing against an offense, and particularly a pass offense, like the Cowboys have, it certainly wouldn't help.

I want to confront that team when they're fully healthy, and beat them soundly.

Anything less, it wouldn't be as satisfying.

Albert, the Packers have 32 sacks. And even if KGB and/or Woodson are able to play they will be a liability to their team since they can't go 100%. Flo can dominate KGB with one good wheel. And Woodson's turf-toe type of injury is a killer for CB's (ex. Deion Sanders).

Dan, what are you talking about? Last I checked the Cowboys aren't at full strength either. Henry can't start, Fergie is on IR, Terry Glenn has been inactive, Crayton is coming off a sprained ankle, and Romo has/had a banged up finger on his throwing hand. Face it, injuries are part of the game and it's up to Championship teams to overcome those injuries. Do you think the Cheatriots are asking for the season to be put on hold cause they had to put Roosevelt Colvin on IR?

Odds are, whatever happens Thursday, this won't be the only time these two teams meet. And that second game will be the only one that matters then.

Well, Dan, thats a lot of bravado, but...

Pardon me for being a wuss, but as far as this game is concerned I would welcome KGB and Woodson being out.

It aint gonna hurt my feelings or matter in the standings if the boys win and GB doesnt have those guys. Hell, knock Favre out he first play of the game I am happy.

and Saint Jimmy is right. We already have more key guys out or hobbled than the packers are likely to be playing without Thursday.

Where is the DMN when you really need them? Michael Irvin is on Sports Unfiltered with Dennis Miller talking about Sean Taylor. And I would like to know if any of the current Cowboys are going to follow Kyle Turley's steps and donate a paycheck to the retired veterans.

Speaking of Romo's finger, how's that going?

A win is a win is a win is a win, can I say it again, a win is a win. I don't care if you play their entire third string and beat them by 30, it's a win and that's what counts. If the Packers go on to lose this game, then certainly they like the Colts without Harrison did in their loss to the Pats, they to can proclaim just wait until we're at full strength in the playoffs.

And, to be quite honest, Kampman provides a MUCH greater challenge and is a far bigger influence on that Packers D. Do we really feel all that confident in allowing Columbo to man up on Kampman? I sure hope he can so we can exploit the middle of the Packers D with Witten, but this will be the matchup to watch.

If Columbo can do his job and can dominate Kampman, the Cowboys win the game.

Why is there no reporting on how Sean Taylor was shot. I've not read one story on who might have shot him or weather or not the criminal was apprehended. Is there a deeper story here that is being hush hushed?

Posted by ernest t bass @ 10:02 PM Tue, Nov 27, 2007

No, Rooty, all the facts have not been made public yet.

TRAMON WILLIAMS said tonight on the news how he is going to hurt Tony Romo. The Greenbay CB thinks he is going to bring pain to Romo. The Greenbay is trying to talk so much junk it is a shame they will have to lose.

Dan, teams are seldom "fully healthy." The Cowboys have been playing without last year's #1 WR all season long.

Posted by mattyinnj @ 8:23 AM Wed, Nov 28, 2007

I wasn't too concerned about this game until the INCOMPARABLE tramon williams guaranteed he will hurt TR. How will we ever get through this game knowing that the unstoppable force of tramon williams, he of a whole SEVEN career tackles???!!!!

In South Austin we will be watching the game at The Warehouse on Ben White. Be there be square, Thursday.

Al Harris will still be locked up with TO all evening. Charles Woodson would be locked up with Patrick Crayton, the 'Boys joke of a #2. Green Bay doesn't need Chuck to cover Crayton, as Jarrett Bush or Frank Walker could do that just fine. Whether or not Woodson plays is not that critical.

Woodson's already been replaced as PR by Tramon Williams, who returned a POOCH punt 95 yards for a TD a week ago. I don't think Wood will be missed there either.

KGB's injury might pose GB some problems, but thier DL is the deepest and strongest unit on the entire team. If KGB can't play, Cullen Jenkins steps in. If Ryan Pickett gets hurt, Johnny Jolly steps right in. Or Corey Williams. They don't skip a beat. Most teams are lucky to have 4 good defensive linemen. Green Bay has more than 8 that could start for most NFL teams.

KGB and Woddson will play, I can almost guarantee they will play. They are not going to be kept out of this game. I beleive both have declared themselvs ready to play. I remember ol Deon Sanders playing some when he had a turf toe.
