![]() VERNON BRYANT / DMN I've mentioned before a defensive package that puts DeMarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer and Greg Ellis on the field together. The Cowboys used that package -- featuring Ellis at left DE in a three-man front, with Ware and Spencer as the OLBs -- more today than any other game. Ellis said that was a significant part of the Cowboys' game plan. Give Wade Phillips credit. It worked wonders. Ellis beat a one-on-one block to get to Eli Manning and tip a pass that ended up in Ken Hamlin's hands. He got the one-on-one look because Ware was lined up on his outside hip. That pick set up a field goal. Spencer beat a one-on-one block -- no way will any team slide protection to him with Ware and Ellis on the opposite side -- to get his sack in the second quarter. That forced a punt, giving the Cowboys good field position for their final drive of the half, which resulted in a TD. "You try to create one-on-ones where you can," Ellis said. "It worked in our favor tonight." Not sure why we didn't see more of this package against the Patriots. I'd expect to see a lot more of it when the Packers come to town in a few weeks. |

The defense is finally getting those sacks like it was hyped up too, and I'm loving it. It was also against a very underrated Giants offensive line that had only allowed 8 sacks before todays game.

When you look at the final seven games, Dallas could realistically go 15-1.
Sweep the four at Texas Stadium
Beat a banged up Carolina on the road
That leaves Detroit and Washington.
Detroit is always a tough matchup for Dallas and you do not know if the Cowboys will have anything to play for against Washington.

So that makes 7 sacks against Manning from the Cowboys Against 6 sacks from the other teams they have faced to give a total of 13 sacks from the year! I think Eli will have nigthmares each time he'll face this defense! Go Cowboys!!

Did you guys see Eli's face on the sideline, as it was getting deeper and deeper into the 4th quarter?
He looked like Job. Better yet, he looked like Job squared!
And Coughlin was going off in expletive laden rants, as if that was going to do any good.
Trash talking, chest thumping, big game speeches, endlessly stressing how big the game was, .................................... it all didn't get it done against a Cowboys team determined to take care of business.
It was Cool Cal Coolidge who remarked that "the business of America IS business." Observing how the 'boys handled their affairs on this road trip, {other than Crayton's bizarre chirping and prancing...}, it looks like the Cowboys have taken that attitude to heart.
I'm glad how Crayton has contributed throughout this season, but for a handful of plays. But I for one will be glad when his trash talking, Freddie Mitchell imitating ways are run out of town.
Let "Freddie Mitchell" Crayton take his show on the road, where he can earn some money elsewhere, and let us go get a circumspect 3d receiver, who has speed, savvy and hands, {and a mouth that doesn't run off}.

Tim I get what your saying and agree but I hope the Boys dont start looking ahead to that game already and forget about Washington the way they did at Buffalo with the Pats in theyre view. Heres hoping from a die hard fan that you or any of the other reporters for that matter dont get that game into the head of the Boys

DAN, you're right. Crayton's unfortunate and embarrassing behavior and moronic statements do tarnish the Star.
Maybe he'll mature. Terry Glenn, please hurry back!

ANd I think this is just the beginning. AS Tank becomes more comfortable and the corners get healthier, these guys are going to be awesome.

It really helps now that Dallas is getting their guys healthy. We get Henry back to 100%, Tank should get better with time, and if Glenn can come back and make a contribution and no more severe injuries, well the future looks very bright!

All of you complaining about Crayton's "antics" sound like sissies! Has he done anything to cost us a game? No! Has he made plays? Yes! This is America People. Just because he doesn't wear pants with suspenders like you busters, doesn't make him a villian. We just one a very important game and all you can do is concentrate on what he's saying........sissies.......

Timmy
You didn't see this against the Pats because Wade didn't want to lose by 5 touchdowns.

"you do not know if the Cowboys will have anything to play for against Washington."
Timothy - how could you even say this? No matter the record there is always a reason to take the Skins out back and give em a good whupping. C'mon now!

Crayton's just having fun. You all need to chill out. The dude HAS hands AND savvy and he's all you need in a 3rd WR, and he's doing well enough as the 2nd WR - he's not Terry Glenn, but then not many WRs are.
I can't wait till we take down the Pats in the Super Bowl.
