As promised, Part 2 of Terrell Owens' wildly entertaining spot on 790 the Ticket in Miami. To open the interview, Owens was asked about Tony Romo's antics over the bye week. And T.O. explained things pretty clearly. But before any of that, he wanted to offer his congrats to his favorite QB. "I’m all for it," Owens said of the contract. "I’m happy for him. I told him congratulations. I’ll be looking forward to go out to dinner here soon … the tab’s on him." Owens then detailed how things happened over the last week. He said that he and Romo went to Las Vegas after the team broke for some time off on Thursday. From there, T.O. went to Miami and Romo to Los Angeles. And when Romo got to LA, the Britney Spears situation arose. "He told me they went out, and the venue they were at , Britney Spears just happened to be there," Owens reported. "She got wind that Tony was there or he got wind she was there and they ran into each other. All it was, was a simple meet-and-greet." Yes, T.O. said, he did hear the lap dance rumors and, yes, he had an explanation for that too. "He did tell me there was a photo op," Owens said. "And you know how loose those girls are. She just hopped in his lap to take the picture." Then, Owens showed genuine concern for Spears, saying, "She needs to take some steps to better her situation and she’s not doing that." But fear not, Owens added, the star QB won't be entangling involving himself in "her situation." "There's nothing to it," Owens said. "You gotta just take it for whatever it's worth. Take it from me, I’m the inside scoop to Tony Romo." Owens also said that he's heard Romo speak of Sophia Bush, but didn't want to pry, although he did say he do some more "investigative work" for 790. And in finishing off his "report", the receiver's fondest wish was that he could go back in time and be at his quarterback's side through all this. "I was like, ‘Man, maybe I should’ve been there, I could’ve taken heat off of him.’" |

This is why Owens is so happy.. Because FINALLY FINALLY he is with a Unselfish Qb... who isn't offended by Owens fame.. Finally.. because Steve Young thought he was freakin YODA over T.O. and Garcia wanted his fame.. and McNabb was flat out Jealous because T.O. was the Toast of the Town in His City... especially since McNabb had to Earn the love.. and T.O. didn't.. imagine that..
Now in Dallas Romo is just letting T.O. be T.O. and he is enjoying it as much as everyone else is.. and knows how to stroke T.O.'s ego..
Has anyone ever factored that if it wasn't for T.O. maybe Romo doesn't get this contract... Do you think he gets this contract if ME SHAWN JOHNSON is on the field.. Nope.. avg Numbers... and Nope.. Because Bill Parcells probably says he's not worth it Yet... wait til after the season.. so see everyone... isn't great how things are working out...
and I am glad that No one knows how Romo is going to be in the Philly Night Pressure Cooker... But heck.. he did good in NY last year and did great in Chicago... so he should be fine..

When I first heard Romo's name and Britney Spears in the same sentence my first thought was of the famous words of Tom Landry when Danny White changed a play. Landry screamed from the sideline, "NO DANNY, NO!" I thought to myself, "NO TONY, NO!"

T.O. IS AN IDIOT JUST LIKE ALL YOU COWPUKES. RAMS HAVE A SUPER BOWL THIS DECADE. WHAT DOES OWENS HAVE. THE RAMS WILL WIN OUT AND THE COWPUKES WILL FOLD LIKE A CHEAP HOOKER. IF THE RAMS LOSE ANOTHER GAME I WILL SIGN OFF THIS BLOG FOREVER. YOU HAVE MY PROMISE. BUT THAT AINT GONNA HAPPEN YOUR MORONS.

ROMO IS A HOMO. THATS WHY HE DOESNT STAY WITH ANY OF THESE CHICKS AND WHY HE LIKES T.O.

Jrs2300, you make some insightful points. I think it's a combination of things that have led to TO's mostly straight-arrow season. For one, he seems to have grown up and can finally recognize and avoid self-defeating behavior. The coaching staff has also done a good job of establishing trust with him. And Romo is charismatic, just a magnetic personality who seems to be liked by all, and smart enough to know how to handle TO, realizing all that a happy, productive TO can do for him.

Rams Fan, I can't wait to hear what you say once you hit puberty. Should be some time this decade, one hopes. And please keep your promise.

Hey RAMS FAN, what happened? Local blackout for the Rams game Sunday? LMAOAU they didn't sell it out.
America's Team! Yeah! You need to spend less time here and more time reminding Rams fans they "won a championship this decade" because it appears they've forgotten too.
LOLOLOLOL

Rams fan, the Rams ONLY Superbowl victory came following the '99 season. Why are you not taking your very necessary antipsychotic medication.

Piltdown Man,
you're leaving us all hanging.
What happened on that play when Landry screamed to Danny White: "NO DANNY, NO!"
Posted by Not So Crazy Ray @ 9:14 PM Fri, Nov 02, 2007
Dan,
I think I remember the play. It was 4th and short. It was called to act like they were going for it, but just to try to draw the D offsides and then take the delay of game penalty. D. White changed it and actually ran the play, which was stuffed and the Cowboys gave up possession.

Not so crazy Ray,
Was that a playoff game, or an important seasonal game?
I don't remember it at all.

I have to thank ramsfan for one thing first. Thanks for taking the attention off the false b spears fiasco.
Now on to more serious issues ramsfan, you need to cut down on the booze, and start remembering what city your in. Thats always a positive start. You had a great post earlier, and were very honest and forthright. Must have been before...well you know. Take care lamsfan, have a great rest of your season.

Dan,
I had to do some research to jog my memory, but it was a painful late 1983 regular season loss to the Redskins in which this occurred. Follow this link
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sports/redskins/longterm/1997/history/allart/dw1983b.htm
As you will read, this is also the famous game in which the Cowboys DBs decided they would not allow the "Fun Bunch" to humiliate them, and broke up their celebration.

Dan,
It was a regular season play best I recall.
Crazy Ray is on target, except remember Danny
White was also a PUNTER. 4th and short & Danny
White was in the shotgun as if to go for it.
Saw an opening, went for it & was nailed.
Fans will remember Danny White would every so
often PUNT from the shotgun on 3rd and long !
One of the advantages of having your QB as
your punter ! Saves a roster spot, hahhaha...
Seriously, Danny White was a primo punter in
his own right, little bonus he was also the QB.

Thanks.
Danny White was a player, that's for sure.
It was something knowing that if Roger was bold, scrambled for extra yardage, put his shoulder down and tried to get that first down or touchdown, if he was hurt, the Cowboys still had Danny White as a backup.

Remember the play by Danny like yesterday. It was about as dumb as Barry Switzer's play. It was done at about midfield and totally changed the game.
Danny was talented for sure. But man did he make some real dumb plays for years that use to drive me crazy. He was probably the best punter that we had until McBriar...and I don't mean statistically. He could really place it well and he also reeled off several fakes for impressive runs for 1st downs and long gainers.
But that 4th and dumb move by him really indicated how his brain would freeze up occasionally.

Lambs Fan, once you get a winning record, you can gloat, but for now... stay Silent!

Dan,
The Cowboys went with the play Danny called and I believe he was sacked and Dallas lost the game. It was supposed to be a bluff and Landry saw the intent of Danny White to go for it, instead of the bluff and that was when he was yelling No Danny No. Most emotional moment of Landry's career if you ask me. He kinda thought danny was his son, weird relation, but I swear that was the closest I ever saw him to a player.

I keep trying to picture it, just can't see it in my mind.
Maybe I didn't watch that game.
But thanks all for answering.

Dallas - 35
St. Louis - 7
What else needs to be said about the Rams?

Um, Derek, you do realize that what you are posting about Bulger... many lawyers would consider that an actionable case of libel. You're not making a comment about his playing ability, or simply showing your stupidity like Ramsfan. You are accusing Bulger of criminal activity. ANd if an attorney wants to find you, they can. Even if you've posted a false email address with DMN. Watch out. That stuff doesn't belong here. If you do have something on the man, don't post it here, go to the cops.

That poor girl is self destructing, and all we hear is a bunch of tired old people screaming, "get away from her", somebody get that girl some help, if you all rubber neckers like to see a wreck, I don't, you remind me of when I used to be Paramedic, and I would look around and see you driving by and staring at people who were hurt. Get the girl some help.
Posted by David Hickey @ 7:44 PM Sat, Nov 03, 2007
Landry was yelling No Danny No and Redskins tackle Dave Butz was yelling yes Danny yes! and then Ron Springs was stuffed on 4th and 1 or 2. Both teams were 12-2, Cowboys end up getting thumped 31-10, lose last three of the season and pretty much beginning of the end for Landry.

I'm still worried about TO if Dallas begins to lose, particularly in ugly fashion. So, let's make sure we don't lose. ;)
