Alright, I know the Cowboys have a good team and all. But 11 Pro Bowlers? I mean, Eleven? Check this out: No other team even has nine. Not the 14-0 Patriots. Not the 12-2, defending Super Bowl champs. Not the star-studded Chargers. No one. And maybe that's, at least in part, due to the fact that the NFC squad's a bit easier to make than the AFC team. Or some kind of Cowboys bias. Here's the list: 1. Cowboys 11 |

Albert,
Of course there have been many seasons when the Cowboys were overlooked. Folk, Barber, Halmin (all good maybe not great years). Hard to argue the rest except that maybe Newman getting a pass for being overlooked in years past.

maybe cuz they have more than two or three guys contributing to their 12-2 record....who would you have left off Albert? and why? and who would you have put in instead?

Well, there's definitely a pro-Cowboys bias amongst the fan voting. It's easily the most popular franchise in the NFL. That could have easily made the difference in some of those selections.
I'm still shaking my head over Andre "high snap" Gurode getting in. I could understand the fans making that mistake, but not the pros.

Whaaaaaaa Whaaaaaaa!!! More crying from Albert. Get over your East Coast Bias freakin baby cause I'm about to punch a hole in your arguement wide enough for the entire US fleet of aircraft carriers to go through. Albert, I don't recall the NFC being weak in the 90's when the Cowboys sent 11 players to the probowl.
The reason the Cowboys have 11 players in the probowl is two-fold. A) They're by far the best team in the NFC B) They're the the class of the NFL.

I believe the Pro-Bowl Voters where focused on Jessica Simpson's "Romo Shirt." This is outrageous. The Packers get as many players as the Bears? Go figure! A backup Running Back makes the Pro Bowl how ugly is that! Count me as one who will not tune into the game.

craigw, are you for real in your comment about Gurode? Did you see what happened when he went out of the game the other day? The guy has been an anchor for that line and is very deserving of the honor.
BigDan, as Jimmy said, "Waaahhhhh!" Nobody watches that game anyway. And voting was over by the time Jessica's Romo shirt was viewed on TV, so your bit is idiotic. I do agree with you on the fact that the Bears got 4. That's ridiculous!
I cannot believe the stupidity on this blog most of the time.

Tell us who should go in ahead of a Cowboy who was selected, or shut up Breer.
This new website format really sucks, in every possible way.

Big Dan - Just because they do not allow satellite dishes in the trailer park does not mean that you shouldnt drive down to the sip and clip and watch the game over the counter.
Who plays for the Packers besides Favre, Kampen and Driver?

What the hell, Albert? You need to let your New England allegiances go. They won't get you anywhere down here. Besides, who amongst the Cowboys' players selected to the Pro Bowl isn't worthy?
Posted by Carl L @ 5:07 PM Tue, Dec 18, 2007
Gurode not worthy, craigw? Nobody on the entire roster is more deserving than Gurode. Without Gurode, Romo wouldn't have as much time to throw the ball to the other Pro Bowlers, T.O. and Witten. Without Gurode, Barber wouldn't be in the Pro Bowl. Without Gurode, the Cowboys WOULD NOT be 12-2. All you need to do is look at the Philly game last week. After Gurode went out of the game, the Cowboys gave up 4 sacks in one and a half quarters. Gurode has come a long way since he's been here. I don't see why a true Cowboys' fan, who has watched Gurode grow the last few years, would ever discredit him. You jumped on the Cowboys' bandwagon just this year, didn't you?
Posted by craigw @ 5:10 PM Tue, Dec 18, 2007
Yes, I'm serious. If it was any other quarterback chasing Gurode's snaps, we could probably blame 2 losses on him. You guys would be calling for his head if Tony hadn't been able to improv his way out of Gurode's mistakes.
If he let's one fly over old-man Farve's head, or if he get's the yips again in a playoff game, you'll know what I'm talking about.
You shouldn't worry about a pro bowl center making a snap... ever. That's the fundamentals of being a center.

How many other teams got as many primetime games as the Cowboys???? That would have a lot to do with having 11 players. Those players and owners that voted got a chance to see the Boys and how good the players are on this team. Plus I think people can name more Cowboys players than on any other team.
Posted by rogerdodger @ 6:43 PM Tue, Dec 18, 2007
Gurode deserved the pro bowl as much as any player. (in spite of what some people say) 2 or 3 bad snaps are not a cause to keep him out. And by the way, if a center should never make a snap, should a quarterback never make a bad pass?? I think not. Football is still a game played by mere humans, and mistakes are a part of it, the best players just keep their mistakes to a minimum. Tony Romo missed several wide open receivers Sunday, should he not be in the pro bowl? T.O. dropped a pass Sunday. Oh my gosh they should make him give back his invitation to the pro bowl. Please!!!!!!!! Get Real!!!!!!!!

I get so sick of Breer and his obvious attempts to draw the ire of the fans who frequent this blog. I can picture him gufawing as he reads the irate responses to his anti-cowboy drivel. It's not an east coast bias, it's a midwest hatred of Texas football and it leads me to skip over articles with his name attached to them. Some of us out here see his ridiculous conjecture for what it is and refuse to take it seriously. We are 12-2 and deserve every accolade that comes wih it. I don't expect people who grew up watching another franchise to do anyhing but HATE the cowboys, sports writers included.

Saint Jimmy - The Cowboys are not by far the best team in the NFC. Yes they beat Green Bay, but they did just lose and still have two games to play. Lose one more and your argument is cooked!

I have a thought. If you look at teams that we know have a lot of talent, say NE, Indy, SD, they are all in the AFC. Seems to me that that is going to spread your pro bowl slots thinner. Than say the NFC where the teams (at least according to the media)are not that good). Making there less slots to spread around. Just a thought I had. Am surprised that GB only has 4 though. Would have thought they would have more given their record.

Hey al
I figure your crying like a new born cause your precious Patricheats don't have as a good a team as the Cowboys. Your gonna be fit to be tied when the Cowboys ruin there undefeated season in the SuperBowl
