In one of the less tense moments in the locker room today, I had a nice chat with Pro Bowl guard Leonard "Bigg" Davis. Davis' first Pro Bowl selection pleased me for two reasons: 1) He's a good guy who deserved it after taking a ton of criticism in Arizona -- and kicking butt as a Cowboy; 2) I won a friendly wager with a fellow scribe who didn't think Davis would be headed to Hawaii. Davis, a seven-year veteran, tried to downplay the emotions he felt when he learned he made the Pro Bowl. He said his teammates were more excited about it than he was, but he was looking forward to his first trip to Hawaii. "Before I leave, I'll have to get my beach workout on," the 350-plus-pound dude said, although he added that there's no way he'll get on a surfboard. |

WAIT!! He said "before I leave"!!! Does that mean he's leaving the Team!! Oh my GOD!. Looks like you missed another golden opportunity to act like an idiot again today, Timothy. Congrats on your tryout for ESPN yesterday...you're hated in Dallas now, just to letcha know. Go write for a team you don't hate. Or since you like creating tabloid stories instead of reporting news, go work the Iraq war desk at MSNBC. You make me sick.

Ahhh that explains why you were all wide-eyed and scanning the lockeroom during The Original 81's interview (and I hope you noticed the majuscules there because they are key -- T.O. = The Original). It was tense and stressfull for you to be in there. Hmmm, not surprising that some Cowboys are a little miffed at you this week.

Bigg can go swimming. The Blue Whales swim are there from November through February. Perfect timing.
Tim, I wish I lived in Dallas. I have missed all of your non-print media activity. I bet you constantly kept your mom on edge, stirring the pot with your sibblings.

No. We haven't harpooned anything since the 1800's I believe. Although we may have had some ships run into a whale or two in recent years. Just tell him to keep his head on a swivel. But he should avoid Oahu beaches and just hit up Kauai for some quality Hawaiian beach fun in the sun.

Maybe Big should just stop in San Diego and take in Sea World. Wow. The guy makes his first pro bowl, is a super individual, is a great team player and these pukes all call him a whale and make fun of him. Anonymously, of course. Congrats to the Big Man. He deserves the pro bowl but he sure as hell doesn't deserve these "fans".

I'm gonna start asking questions in hopes we can turn back to our little game a couple days away. Do we need to worry about Peppers at all? Can we stop Foster? Is this the week Smith grabs a TD? What is the one concern we might have regarding Carolina's D? C'mon folks...if we lose this Sat, we all better sacrifice the folks that continue to talk about Jessica freakin' Simpson

Davis is a giant of a man, who plays a key position on the 12-2 Cowboys. Besides the great pay he recieves from the Boys, he's gotta be happy to be voted onto this season's pro-bowl.

Bigg Leonard on a surf board?!? What a concept! It might be a good idea for Bigg to just stay out of the water. Whales come down here to our warm Hawaiian waters from points all over the northern stretches of the Pacific, and they come down here for one very good reason: to mate and make baby whales. Can you imagine what a near-sighted, horny whale full of whale testosterone could do to poor Leonard? I'm serious, Jeff... think about that!

Well, all I can say is that my mother in law needs to stay out of Hawaii then. Leonard only has 10 little tics on her at the scales and at least he can fight a dolphin off. (A whale is a dolphin, by the way. I learned that at Sea World, sitting next to Big).
