New FB Zack Crockett didn't exactly get a grand entrance into Valley Ranch. He got No. 32, and no promises that he'll be playing on Saturday, or even that he'll have a job when Roy Williams comes off the suspended list on Sunday. But then, when you've been in the league for 13 years, you get a pretty good idea of the way the league is. "Just go out there and make plays and do what you do and be ready for anything they put in front of you," Crockett said. "They call your number, you gotta be ready." Crockett said he's cramming to learn the playbook, and that having his old running backs coach from the Raiders, Skip Peete, around has helped. The smart money says that Crockett has to prove ready to contribute on special teams to earn a game jersey for Saturday, with Pat Watkins out and kick-units ace Keith Davis devoting more time to defense. |

Another great move by the Cowboys and Mr. Jones signing the talented veteran. Zack Crockett is the perfect fit for this team at just the right time. A FB who can run, block, catch, and play special teams who will add vast experience and leadership for the young backfield. I am certain that Zach is also happy with his opportunity to play any role asked of him.

Smart signing. If the Panthers D tries putting a spy LB on the Barbarian like the eagles did, them we could counter with some pases to this guy. Maybe we could really surprise them this way. Just a thought. Another escape valve just in case Procter isn't up to the task.
