How much did the Cowboys loss Sunday change their standing in the league standings? Here's a look (which, of course, doesn't include tonight's Bears-Vikings game): TOTAL OFFENSE PASSING OFFENSE RUSHING OFFENSE TOTAL DEFENSE PASSING DEFENSE RUSHING DEFENSE So your answer is ... Not much. But here's something interesting for those of you who think Philly is an inferior opponent. The Eagles rank ninth in total defense in the NFL, sixth against the run and 16th against the pass; and eighth in total offense, ninth running it and 13th throwing it. |

Nice breakdown Albert and yes, the Eagles are a pretty solid football team on defense. I for one am not in panic mode after the loss but do feel the Cowboys need to play some really solid football the next 2 weeks before the bye to have confidence going into the playoffs. Would love to see them work on the run game and show that they can really mix it up as opposed to the team living and dieing by Romo's play. He had an off day for sure but think I he'll be fine.
Who knows, the Lions always play the Packers tough so maybe they'll help us out and get a win!

I think it may be time to break away from the 2 back rotation and let Barber have a full game. Jones has way too many negative or short gains that put the offense in 2nd or 3rd and long situations. Barber needs more touches before they get behind and have to throw to catch up.

Cowboys Coach Phillips seems to be the only one that didn't know Tony Romo was hurt in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. In the third quarter when it was obvious Romo's hand was still hurting, even my wife questioned why Phillips didn't put Brad Johnson at QB in a still winable game? Sometimes Wade Phillips comes across as a real dunce hick.

I agree with Scott. There have been enough signs that MB3 is and should be recognized as the main back in Dallas. That alone translates to more carries, more carries and more carries.
JJ knows he wont be around next year. Let Barber play for a new contract and give us a little more power and energy that he's already shedding on the field now.
Garret, Wade ENOUGH is ENOUGH (save the season)

I think that they Boys should start Barber and really have him run aggressively (like he'd do otherwise! lol) in the first half as part of a strategy to wear down the opponent's defense. I still like the one-two punch that Jones adds to the mix.
Also - Tom Brady and the Pats are so successful with the slant. It seems like the Cowboys have gotten away from that lately. Are the defenses doing a good job of taking that away or is there some other factor?
