Cowboys owner Jerry Jones emphasized outside the stadium tonight that the injury to Tono Romo's right thumb is a bruise and not a sprain. And the franchise's leader said he's pretty ecstatic that it's not more serious than that. "We’re counting our blessings, one of them is that Romo won’t be having future health problems," Jones said. "That would be a bad day." Jones added that he doesn't think injuries to C Andre Gurode (left knee sprain), DE Chris Canty (left knee sprain), S Patrick Watkins (left ankle sprain), or TE Anthony Fasano (mild concussion) will force any missed time. He did say that Gurode will have an MRI in the morning, but the feeling is he -- like his four hobbled teammates -- will be good to go on Saturday in Charlotte. "These guys (the doctors) have a track record of being able to tell you pretty good about what you’re going to get on an MRI," Jones said. Meanwhile, Romo didn't feel much like going into his injury, simply saying "It's fine." |

First...The silver lining in this is that Romo won't be doing any galvanting to LA to pine after Ms. Simpson.

Now Jerry can diagnose injuries just by looking at them! He's amazing!!!

i guess camp cupcake didn't toughen them up enough.
maybe we need an old school coach to work them out harder. oops! i forgot, we did that last year.

That's the good news. Garrett doesn't seem to have much confidence in the running game. We must have a running game to get to the Super Bowl. I say start Barber.

I wish there was one more injury today! A career ending injury to Jessica Simpson. Romo, Garrett and Simpson lost this game for us. I hope the skank has a commercial to do next week.

Maybe it's better to play in Green Bay (if we even make it that far) since it's too cold up there for Jessica!
At least (from Dr. Jerry's perspective) the injuries aren't that serious. That's good news.

HT,
Come on, that was a reach. he was quoting the doctors.

ROFL, all this anti-jessica simpson talk is ridiculous. Romo had a bad day, it happens. Just be glad he's gotten it out of his system now rather than in the playoffs.
And all this crying and gnashing of teeth over our 2nd loss. As I recall this Eagles team almost beat the Pats as well.
Get over it.

Bill in DC,
You got to understand these fair weather, band wagon fans. They're upset that they didn't wait till the Super Bowl victory like usual before they became Cowboy fans. Now they might have to take some ribbing from fans of other teams. Poor babies!!!

Just a bad loss guys. The defense played strong and I am glad that ROMO had his stinker now than later. So far he seems to have those every 8 0r 9 start so that bodes well for us, IF his finger is not really hurt because he looked like he was favoring it alot during the game...and I think Simpson had something to do with his performance but he won't let on about that.....

You know it's bad when there are Cowboy fans calling other Cowboy fans names (kameleon and his friend Bill in DC). Chances are if you are a fair weather fan you wouldn't be on this sight. Look, fans of any sport take a loss hard especialy to a weak team like the Eagles. Personaly I'm going to have trouble falling to sleep tonight and I hate to start the work week with a loss. But Monday I'll be looking forward to Saturday night and watching Dallas kick some Panther butt. But that's just me.

The Cowboys are 12-2 and have the tiebreakers on the Packers. So -- could've been way worse today. Defense held up well against McNabb; gotta hobe Schobel is ok, as well as Romo, Gurode and Canty.
Owens got balls thrown to him. Unfortunately he left all the VELCRO in his locker.

IN SUMMARY: Our Cowboys played lousy on offense and very good on defense today. Lets face it, that for the Dallas is a losing combination. However after you win 7 in a row, some in dramatic fashion, a loss like this is bound to happen. Time to refocus, heal up and win out on the road (where were undefeated) for home field advantage. Now if the "everyone is bound to lose now and then" equation only applied to New England, that would make my day.
Sincerely,
Drew Pizzulo

Every Super Bowl Season we laid an egg at leqasat one game. And hey, it was often to the EAGLES!

St. Louis Cowboy,
No one said don't take the loss hard. Just come in off the ledge big guy!!!!!!!!! We lost a tough game. Our QB who has played awesome all season had a bad game and so did most of the rest of the offense. I'll take it hard too but at least I've got a little perspective. One bad game doesn't make the rest of the good things the Cowboys have done go away.

Gotta admit, I wish I could go home with Jessica Simpson after having a lousy day at work...or any other day for that matter. LOL

Ya know...I still have to go to work in the morning...pay bills...etc. Enjoy the games folks...there's roughly 7 weeks left and it's all over. Oh...then you fantasy football retards can start talking about the draft.
