Noted Cowboys killer Santana Moss beat Jacques Reeves for a 42-yard TD, putting the game out of even the great Brad Johnson's reach.

Redskins 27, Cowboys 3, and the folks at FedEx Field are having a grand old time.

What a surprise!!!!! Jacques Reeves beaten again! I keep telling you all that guy is a horrible corner. Been getting beat all year play after play. I can't believe he still makes his way onto the field.

This is a disgrace. This team will play exactly like this in the playoffs. You wait and see. Wade Philips and his #%@%$#$#%^ even keel has allowed this team to lose all its momentum. You cannot play like this and just turn the switch on once the playoffs start. They will be lucky to win their first playoff game.

I'm glad the Cowboys put their starters in for so long. It let me see that this team really is trash! They will get blow out in 2 weeks to complete the ultimate joke this season has become. Get ready Santana, you'll going to have a grand ole time in 2 weeks.

Posted by huck @ 5:58 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

This has been such a bad performance I hope that the Redskins beat the Seahawks and have to come to Texas Stadium in January for a do-over. I just don't think the team was playing for a win at all. In today's NFL attitude can be the tide turner. They obviously aren't that bad. Don't jump on you swords Cowboys fans. Two weeks rest and planning time is a huge benefit.

This one was over when it started...dont know what happened down the stretch but we have really been stinkin it up...hopefully its just because t.o. is out why our offense looks so bad...with t.o. and terry glen in the playoffs maybe things will change...we can only hope...go cowboys!!!

Posted by Bill in VA @ 5:59 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

Tim,
Please tell me. What's the feeling in dallas on that Reeves guy? please tell me I will not see that guy on the field next season.

Posted by CowboyinPA @ 5:59 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

Wonder if Aikman will bring up the ***-whipping he took in '96 in th last game against the 'skins as to what happens when you don't care about game.

If the Jones family isn't humiliated, embarrassed and angry about this loss, they should sell immediately to someone who just might give a damn.

And Wade Phillips needs to either have a come to Jesus meeting with every player on the roster or submit his resignation.

Disgraceful performance!

Posted by zilladogg @ 6:02 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

these guys blow ,, i cant believe how bad they have become !! jason garrett's play calling has been terible the last 4 games !!! so predictable
and now they settle for a field goal !!!! THEY LOSE IN THE FIRST ROUND !!!

Posted by Larry Eversoll @ 6:03 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

The NFL is about winning games. Since win are we in the business of giving the $#%$@@@%@!!! Redskins a free pass into the playoffs? Wade Philips is a joke. I would fire his ass right now if I were Jerry Jones. I cannot believe the lack of pride they have played with today. They should all be playing in a league where they don't keep score and everyone gets a 3-cent trophy when the season is over with.

Posted by huck @ 6:05 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

At lease the coaches have a lot to coach on for the next two weeks!!!

Posted by Fran @ 6:06 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

Chris, you're dreaming. No way the Redskins beat Seattle.

Posted by Mike @ 6:07 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

I'm usually not one to go hari kari but this is not looking good.

Assuming Glenn continues to be a non-factor, we have nothing after Owens at all at WR. They can't get separation and Romo, for whatever reason, is the opposite of accurate, late on his decisions, and appears to be like a news reporter without a teleprompter.

We've all seen this before. We may or may not win the first playoff game but we do know it will be a very close game. Last 3 teams we've played have been bad, and all 3 teams either barely lost, we're within one score, or beat us.

Helloooo playoffs! This is not a smart team we're seeing.

Posted by jimmy @ 6:08 PM Sun, Dec 30, 2007

Jacques Reeves sucks almost as much as roy...crayton cant return punts i dont understand why we keep putting him out there...def. has play horrible today...i dont see how we win a playoff game...i will be very surprised

Sorry to end this little Redskin lovefest, but they are going to fly cross country to lose next week. Boy, Aikmen and the nerd are going ga ga...you'd think that Gibbs actually hadn't called two time outs in a row and cost his team a game or something! Enjoy your little Super Bowl today, your going to be at the racetrack after next week.

Why does JJ always seem to be running sideways. To all Dallas fans and I happen to be one. I live in VA and get to watch all Redskins games. Don't sleep on these guys, don't think Dallas will just turn it on in a couple weeks and beat these guys. Since Jason Cambell went down this team has been terrific. This butt whipping may very well happen again in Texas Stadium in a couple weeks.

On this play, the problem was the safety, not Roy, but the Free Safety Ken Hamlin. He is highly overrated. I don’t understand how he was even considered for the pro bowl. Does he not understand he is the last line of defense? He should have provided overtop help, but he instead ran up the field and bit on the piss poor fake. I guess he was trying to pad his stats with an interception off a tipped ball. He bites on the run/play fake consistently and that's why the deep ball will always be a problem for the Cowboys as long as he is the free safety. I don't know why owner Jerry would consider giving him a long term deal. I have seen it time and time again this season with this dude and it is utterly ridiculous. Dude, you are the free safety and the last line of defense. Do you understand that? Stay back and provide help in coverage. That’s your job. I would rather see the receiver make a hell of a play with Hamlin and the DB at least in the picture. If you look at the play, you will see him probably 15 yards from the line of scrimmage looking downfield at Reeves and Moss. Does he realize that's his play to make? Up until this game, we didn't have a 100 yard rusher against us. We don't need him for run support. If we do make it to play New England in the bowl, would someone please tell this dude to provide safety help and STAY BACK in coverage against the deep ball. It’s not that hard!!!!!!!!!!!!

More lovefest for you, Steve

Yep, Gibbs DID call 2 consecutive timeouts. He also has coached his team thru a season of hardship, actually getting to the playoffs with a 4-game WINNING STREAK. This, despite the death of the team's best player. Thru it all, Gibbs urged the team to keep the faith and remain of high character. Face the facts, your team has no character. They sold their soul by bringing in T.O. I can still picture him posing on the mid-field star after a touchdown for the 49ers! It was universally called blaspheny...right up until the moment he became a Cowboy. Despite this game, your team is having a tremendous season - the best in your history. Be proud of it - but also try to be a realist. Your team is of high talent and low character. To them, it's all about self-promotion. However, they do have have 11 pro-bowlers (more than the Patriots), 4 alternates, a quarterback who played (risking injury) well into the 3rd quarter of this game to get a completion record, a tight-end who played the entire game (risking injury) for a receiving record, the same quarterback who makes more money than Tom Brady and dates starlets - yet has never won a playoff game and has a career DEC/JAN quarterback rating in the 60's, a Pro Bowl running back who doesn't start and ran for a total of -6 yards today and less than a thousand yards for the season, an owner who has had plastic surgery and wears make-up for those close-up shots when he comes down to the field, Michael Irvin in the press-box doing who knows what, and T.O. - who is too self-serving for words, and of course, they are America's Team (or so they tell us).

Don't wish for the Redskins to lose next week. If you truly believe in your team, you should hope the Skins win so the Boys can play them again in two weeks. But you don't want that, do you?

go cowboys

Posted by Troy Pittman @ 4:44 AM Mon, Dec 31, 2007

How we love the Skins fans thinking they want a piece of the fully powered Cowboys team. "We Want Dallas"?. LOL. No you don't. That's like a mouse screaming "I want to fight a lion".

Skins fans, you're not in our class. Seattle will put you away like the little Wildcard team you are and the real teams will move on.

Maybe next season, little danny.
