Romo ain't interested in her brains

A helpful reader e-mailed this list, which ranks the dumbest people in Hollywood. Jessica Simpson, Tony Romo's most recent squeeze, is No. 7.

I'm no Hollywood expert, but I believe Britney Spears is waaaaaaaaaay underrated at No. 14. You might recall Romo being linked with the bald bimbo, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Ryan Seacrest breathlessly reported that Britney gave Romo a lap dance in a club one night, but T.O. had the real scoop.

"He did tell me there was a photo op," T.O said that week on his radio show. "And you know how loose those girls are. She just hopped in his lap to take the picture."

Hey, unrelated, but Dr. Z writes a good article about the Pats game last night. Seemed like it might key on the exact type of weaknesses we could exploit, especially with a two back system. Just a thought.

I heard they can also smell fresh cash.

Romo needs to re-read the "Quarterback Commandments" he received from Parcells. Number 11 was "Don’t be a celebrity QB – we don’t need any of those. We need battlefield commanders that are willing to fight it out, every day, every week and every season and lead their team to win after win after win."

In other words, keep yourself out of People, ET, and all the other gossip rags!

Nobody is talking about these boring threads. There are some great other possibilities today. Maybe a better selection of threads might be worthwhile. These are sort of like play calling - if you call bad plays, the players will just set up in the right formation, but run different plays.

Bill,

I share your concern regarding Romo.

This is a great young man and a super QB, but
he needs to curtail the social life until after the super bowl.

I'm just a little concerned not only for his own concentration on the objectives at hand, but on how his team mates might not take such a positive view of his celebrity goings on.

Slow it down Tony. We have a super bowl to win. Dummies like Jessica will always be there. A chance to win the Super Bowl may not come around again.

The three best qb's:
Brady
Manning
Romo

#1 & #3 are celebrity qb's and the best two players in the NFL this year. Their teams are a combined 23-1, get off Tony's back until his off field activities affect his performance. Some of the people on here need to understand players can have a life outside football..........or would you rather have Quincy , Chad or Drew at QB. I rest my case.

While Romo seems to be "living" the good life with these Hollywood types, remember the only reason his "off field" antics are being brought up is because of where he is and what he is currently doing for our Boys. The media is all over Romo where ever he goes/what ever he does. He is young and unmarried so like every other guy his age (or younger/older) he is going to do his things on his day off. The only difference is people will hear about it more often. At least Romo isnt fashioning for GQ, etc. like some other OB in the Boston area. Though, I do remember my old coach in college always saying "Keep it in your pants till after the season so that you have your pent up frustration taken out on your enemies."

He needs a social life, too. I would think if it got too serious, he would slow it down. Right now, he wants to play the Patriots again. You can bet that is first and foremost in his mind...

Wait a minute! Jessica's got brains... a pair of 'em...

Cut TheScratchGolfer some slack all you worry warts. The only date(s) he had to TO's "Hollywood" birthday bash was a handful of his teammates, so that's an indication to me he's got his priorities in order... I seem to recall the original celebrity quarterback, some guy who played at Alabama, and got drafted by the J-E-T-S... Jets. While wallowing in his celebrity status, he seemed to do rather well... bad knees and injuries not withstanding...

Most of these comments seem to be from men. How about all the young people who look up to him as a role model? What a disappointment to be associated with Hollywood trash. He represents the
Dallas Cowboys and Texas. So what if he has the #1 selling jersey if you are ashamed to be seen in it. Big disappointment in how he is conducting his affairs.

Sorry Theresa, I am not a man. I am just a boy, who looks up to hollywood trash.

Personally, I am not a big fan of jessica, but that is what is great about our country. He can make his own choice and we can think it is right or wrong.

Come on, Theresa... Jessica's not trash. She's a Texas girl... maybe a bit of a bimbo, but trash? She doesn't step out of limos showing her punani... like Ms. Spears... not that's trashy!
