Roy suspension upheld

Roy Williams' one-game suspension, issued by the league on Monday, has been upheld by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Williams will be eligible to return to the team on Sunday, the day after the team plays at Panthers. The time between now and then, coach Wade Phillips hopes, will drive the lesson home to Roy -- stop with the horse-collaring.

"I'm assuming this is going to do it for him," Phillips said. "You start losing salary ... He's been fined, and now he's going to miss a game, so ..."

So you'd hope this would be it for the former Pro Bowler.

I think the "horse tackle" is a horrible rule , If I remember right , it is tackle football correct? I think people minds will change about this call when it's a pivotal do or don't in a BIG GAME !! Meaning the games outcome will be based off a player either doing it or not and yeilding to the runner for a go head score.

If that isn't the last of it, he's gonna be sent packing. The salary cap doesn't matter when you're dead weight. Quincy was shown the boot for conduct that would get him suspended. I expect the same will happen to Roy.

That being said, I guess we'll all get to see how much this team will actually miss his presence.

Roy,
Just ignore all the nay-sayers.
You might also try grabbing the pants for a hip-collar, butt-collar or dog-collar?

So I must ask, If a player is accessed 3 ruffing the QB penalties in a season, will they too be given a game suspension? All personal fouls should be treated equally, irregardless of what team you play for.
