For those folks tired of girly gossip, breathe easy. This post has nothing to do with Jessica Simpson. T.O. said this morning that he'd advise Tony Romo to sit out Saturday if his bruised right thumb needs the rest. "Be smart and realize that with the guys we have in this locker room, I feel like we can go into Carolina with Brad [Johnson] and win," T.O. said. "If it takes him to sit out a week to rest that thing, then I would really encourage that." |

Tim...the key phrase is "...rest that thing..". Let's see how many fans get it. :)

I thought Romo actually jeopardized Cowboys chances last Sunday by not leaving the game when it became apparent he could not continue playing at an appreciable level. It was both stupid and selfish. HIS ACTION PUT MANY PLAYERS IN HARMS WAY.I think he should rest the thumb. He has nothing to prove since we all know how good he is.

This goes to show TO isnt pressed to win every game and to me that shows hes being more mature about things then in the past. Ol'Bee, Yes Romo had a bad game but i dont think brad johnson would of made a big difference being that the O-line was struggling late in the game also.

Tony knows what he's doing and always puts the team first, that's why he stayed in to finsh the eagles game!

I for one don't have any confidence in Brad Johnson and was dumbfounded when Matt Moore was cut.
But what the hey, maybe TO is right and Brad should play this game.
At least we'll find out if we do have a backup QB.
Crapcha code is having problems again.

Looks like T.O. played you T-Mac so perhaps the next time you get that tingleing in your panties for another headline you can add lots of !!!!! to you should stop, get your facts straight, question the intent and then proceed.
Mickey Spags is quite amused with you.
"Mickey: Nothing will come of it. First of all, you need to listen to that part of T.O.'s interview out here on Wednesday. You should have heard the laughter in the background. He just played the media, and a couple of guys couldn't figure that out, took it serious, wrote it seriously and then the wire services picked it up, and some poor guy sitting in an office rewriting stuff had no clue of what really happened. This is so much ado about nothing. In fact, Owens probably did Simpson a favor, since all these websites and sports stations are talking endlessly about this. What better way to get your name - and picture - out there in the public, and for free? She can't pay for this much free advertising."

Whether Romo plays or not,
I am looking forward to a solid win in Carolina
so that all the negativism will be put behind us
and we can all pull for that final victory in Washington - securing home field thru out the playoffs and knocking Washington out of any chance for the playoffs(I they manage to beat Minnesota this weekend).
Gotta think Winning in Washington, gaining the final piece of the playoff puzzle, and having Terry Glenn back for at least some plays, will be all the momentum this team needs to end up going to the big one. Needing that last game, if they get it, will almost make the loss to Phili a positive thing going forward.

Humorous or not, there is no way a starting NFL quarterback is going to take himself out of a game if he doesn't absolutely have to. How do you think they get to that level of competition?
And how many times have QBs had very good games the week after they were hurt? Brett Favre comes to mind. McNabb.
I expect Romo to light it up this Saturday night.

Chris/Denton, you realize that Spagnola is the ugliest member of the Cowboys' cheerleading squad, right?

My advice to Romo
1. Get away from the Simpsons to save your
public image
2. Decide the most important thing right now is
to focus on being a professional QB
3. Be an animal against Carolina and Washington
4. Re-think the Carrie thing. She's classy
and a real sweetheart

i agree with carl all the way!!!
i totally think that romo shud re-consider dating carrie underwood, again. shes a lot better looking and she's more of romo's-type. carrie is very sweet and is totally down 2 earth.
anywho, romo shud b on fire this saturday!!! he tends to not hold grudges 4 a long time, which is a good thing.
do u guyz know if terry glenn will play a lil bit this saturday against the panthers? cuz i really wanna c him play even if it's jus 4 one play.

Romo should NOT sit this game out if at all possible!! Home field throughout is STILL at stake. Had that already been clinched I'd say yes. But it hasn't. So let's hope for a win on Saturday and a big Pack upset on Sunday. Then NEXT week we can rest some guys!!
