Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston is banging the drum for the Ravens to hire Marty Schottenheimer. He makes a lot of good points about Schottenheimer's fit in Baltimore but can't resist landing a few more jabs at Garrett. Newsome has a great football mind, and I can't see him ever picking Garrett over Schottenheimer. |

Ummm, Newsome DID pick Garrett over Schottenheimer, moron.

I think this man is mad but he's not a moron. Garret is truly unproven. As a Cowboys fan, I'm skeptical. The league adjusted to him and he failed to adapt. I think he's smart but I don't know if he's the amswer.

I think John Harbaugh from Philly was hired.

its funny how the Ravens got jilted by a career 3rd string midget QB from Dallas but now have a former starting QB who led the Colts for all those years...again it looks like the Ravens punked the Cowboys!!!...

Ummm..I think you're thinking of his little brother, Jim Harbaugh. But, whatever makes you feel better.

Why are you living on the Cowboy's blog? Go home and worship me and your quitting coach. I won't quit you if you won't quit me? I still can't believe you lost by 21 points :(

well you know whatthey say, "Hell hath no fury next to a Raven scorned."

I don't think he is saying anything wrong. Oh he may be pissed off because Garrett spurned the Ravens offer but really, this is Garrett's *first* year as a coordinator. Is one season enough for someone to demand a head coaching position? Look at Sean Payton -- last season he nearly led the Saints all the way and this season no one even remembers if Saints played at all. Chances are Garrett may have been all at sea at being given such a huge responsibility with practically no real world experience save this one stellar season with the Cowboys.

I like Marty... and I hope he finds a new home in the NFL as a head coach. The Ravens would be a good fit for him. If he does take the job... I hope everyone realizes just how good a team they will be.

Maybe Garrett knows this better than some moron urnalist sports writer. Maybe that is why he never said he would accept the job. Do you think that perhaps Garrett knows a bit about football? Do you think that these bozo tabloid "Hannity and Scums" type of journalists knows more about Jason than Jason? He is like the bozos the DMN has hired and retained here and in the editorial section. Absolute idiots. Oh, wait. I take that back. I apologize to all true idiots out there for putting them in the same category as the Dallas News staff.

Well as someone said above that Garrett is more a myth created by Jerry I would totally believe. I have love the Cowboys for 32 years and as long as Jerry Jones is the owner we don't have a chance. Matter of fact I'd say the other team has a HUGE chance against us while Jones continues to "think" he's a Great GM. HE'S NOT!
Look at the owner of the Pats. Cheaters they may be but I blame the coach for that NOT the owner. At any rate the owner was smart enough to hire a GREAT GM and he stays in his box while his GM and Coach continue winning SB's.
No I would say that Jones hiring of Garrett only goes to show that NO MATTER who the coach is they'll never truly be in charge of the team while Jones remains.
I'd say the best thing that could happen to the Dallas Cowboys is that Jones passes away in his sleep.
