Ellis expresses thanks to Tuna

Greg Ellis fussed and grumped a whole bunch when Bill Parcells decided to move him to linebacker. Hindsight being 20/20, Ellis is glad that the Tuna didn't listen.

Ellis, coming off a career-high 12.5-sack season, during today's press conference about the 10-year veteran's first Pro Bowl berth. He smiled and stared into the cameras before answering.

"Appreciate it, Bill," Ellis said. "It was a good move, and I owe a lot to you."

While walking down the hallway after the press conference, Ellis said he hasn't chatted with Jerry since the season ended, so he's uncertain about his future with the Cowboys. The fact of the matter is he's under contract and, barring unforeseen circumstances, will form one of the league's best pass-rushing tandems with DeMarcus Ware again. Wade Phillips has indicated that the Pro Bowler will keep his starting job, so Ellis shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I'm Jerry, I'm trading his ass in the deal to get McFadden.

If you're Jerry, at least the Cowfools would have half a chance at winning a playoff game this century, even with a tool like you running things.

Scoreboard Douchebags!

hint,,,,hint,,,,,Bill you listening?

Why does this guy always need so much damn reassuring all the time???? Uncertain? You're a starting outside linebacker--you'll be starting opposite DeMarcus Ware next season. There. I answered it for you. Oh, yes, a younger/up-and-coming guy named Anthony Spencer is going to get 20 snaps a game, since you're in the twilight of your great career, and this will help extend your career and help keep your sack numbers up really nice and high. Got it? Oh, and yeah, you're under contract. Now, shut the "F" up and stop being such a cancer.

way to be a good sport gaymen 4ever. if i'm correct, the giants have been around for quite a bit longer than the cowboys, yet don't have as many super bowls. that makes me sad. tear. maybe if you had an owner like jerry jones, you would have more. enjoy your playoff wins now, it won't happen again for a while. think of me next year when we spank your ass. i will be going for you this sunday though, can't wait to hear what that retard of a qb has to say, " i wood lik to tank me big bruder payten, me too bro, me too!"

jerry, please send that crybaby ellis to the fins so we can stop listening to him whine about his status next year...i mean the guy got his money & kept his job even after coming off a serious injury at near the end of his career & still disrespects the organization every chance he gets, move on (err, move out)!!!!

Yeah, what is up with Ellis already whining again? Whatever happened to standing behind the deal you have made? And it's not like Ellis has been or will be a premier player in the league. His sack total was due to one guy and one guy alone - Ware. I say trade his butt to the Dolphins where he can continue his lovefest with the Tuna.

Dang you, CAPTCHA, dang you!
2nd try

gayman 4ever...whatever Tool. Are you so desperate for attention that you need to come on here and act like a TT fan?

If you like NY and deuschbags that live in the sh*thole, then go back. Though I'm hoping your lucky team wins, I won't be shedding any tears if "she-li" gets his azz handed to him. He's a little girl living in his big bro's shadow.

Enjoy your one-year wonder of a season, TOOL.

I don't remember him ever asking for more money this time around. He simply stated he knows this is a business and he has a 1st rounder breathing down his neck. And history proves draft position will eventually decide who is starting, regardless of the skills of the player.

It's why Rivers is starting in SD, and why Quinn will eventually start in CLE no matter how good Anderson is.

I don't think he is a cancer. Teammates love him, he just talks to the media a little too much and wears his emotions on his sleeve.

Tony is such a child...!

Yeah but Ellis is a first rounder too, not some undrafted free agent. When the Eagles drafted Lito Sheppard and their other CB with their first couple picks several years ago neither one of them started in place of Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent for at least a couple years. If I was Jer I would bar access to the practice field for any reporter that sticks a mike in Greg's face for the next 12 months. By then he can be free to go where he wants but meanwhile no one else will have to listen to his BS
