Tony Romo suddenly has a reputation as a quarterback who can't win a big game. That's the result of an 0-2 playoff record and two average-to-mediocre postseason performances. If you really want to pile on, you could point out that Romo never won a playoff game at Division I-AA Eastern Illinois, either. The Cowboys' confidence in their $67 million quarterback remains strong, however. Wade Phillips reiterated that a coach can't believe in a quarterback any more than he does in Romo. Pro Bowl tight end/travel partner Jason Witten attributed Romo's winless playoff record to bad luck as much as anything. "I have 100 percent confidence he's going to lead us to the Super Bowl in the future," Witten said. Why hasn't Romo performed like a Pro Bowler in the playoffs? Your guess is as good as mine. But one argument I won't accept is that Romo can't handle pressure situations. That clearly is not the case, based on his spectacular showings in the Cowboys' two most important games of the regular season. I'm referring to the wins at Giants Stadium and against Green Bay. Those games weren't win or go home, but they were high-stakes contests. The NFC East lead was on the line against the Giants, and the NFC's top seed was at stake against the Packers. Romo responded with a pair of four-touchdown performances. He combined to throw for 556 yards and complete 67 percent of his passes in those games, both of which he finished with a QB rating of 123 and change. Can Romo play that way in the playoffs? He'll have to wait at least a year to prove it, but the Cowboys sure think so. |

Comboys, lost big wup. All they have to do is work hard than ever, and I know that tony romo will make cowboys champs. This was his first full year as quarterback for the cowboys and he did alot. They were considered the best Team in the NFL. Its all about the confidense and strengh. They will win, but not this year.

i think MBIII was tired in the second half.. noone is talking about this.. it was great to start him.. but he did get tired.. now.. i hear all of you wanted to get rid of jones.. but I have to think that the second half game sucess of MBIII is due to Jones sucking up the early wind. now.. we need to resign him.. I can;t imagine him getting a really great offer..

LOL They lost big wup? Hey Jorge take your non spell checking ass back to grade school. Had it not been for the running game the boys wouldnt have even been in the game. They blew it again. Oh and whats with everytime they loose in the playoff theres always somebody crying? First it was Romo, and now its TO. Real men dont cry, unless they win the superbowl!

OK, Tony, Nooooooowwwwww you can go to Cabo with the chick. See you next year. New year, new season, new hopes. Thanks for the memories this year, it was fun!

There is a lot that Romo can learn from that game, and even the 4 or 5 games before this loss. He learned from his mistakes from last season and earlier this season, so I expect the same with this. This last month-or-so has just proven that Romo has a ways to go to be on Manning's or Bradys level.

LOL "BigBlue" pokes fun at someone's spelling and then follows it up with "Oh and whats with everytime they loose in the playoff theres always somebody crying"......

Looks likwe T.O. and Romo are kinda tight. Is Romo a homo?
Posted by davej @ 1:13 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Romo can lead the team to a Super Bowl win, but he still has much to learn. I hope he gets to hang around Tom Brady and Peyton Manning and Brett Favre at the Pro Bowl and firs of all, learn WHAT the next level even looks like and then go to work on it.
I think Romo, Witten, T.O., Demarcus Ware, and a few other players are going to have to set the tone for the team because right now, I don't see that Wade can lead them to a Super Bowl win.

Is Tony Romo a flash in the pan? He will be if he doesn't grow up.
Posted by MikeInUkraine @ 2:31 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
I recall Tony telling the media how much he enjoys and lives for the last second come back after the Detroit game. At the time Aikman or someone like him said they much preferred having a 2 or 3 score lead in the closing moments.
I hope Tony learned a harsh but valuable lesson and will start to appreciate the blowout win.

The Cowboy's 2007 once-again grenade-in-the-playoffs performance nicely reinforces what a joke the self-designated "America's team" tag is and always will be. Now, all we need to decide is whether the 'Boys or the 'Yanks are most deserving of the 2007 Under Performance Trophy...
Posted by snaxet em tae @ 2:42 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
...Meanwhile, in tiny Green Bay, they'll straighten their framed Packer stock certificates, fill their flask's, drive...oh about five blocks to Lambeau, and take in the actual America's team playing in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! (P.S. please don't forget to help your id-git find his village when he's done screwing up the country; hate to think of him wandering around, lost)
Posted by John L. @ 5:04 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Sure, sure....I think JJ whipped out that checkbook a little too soon. We are now stuck with a QB who cares more about appearing in People magazine than trying to win big games.
Posted by Kevin @ 6:03 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
If I was concerned about whipping out the checkbook too soon, it would have been with Crayton. Still, I have always believed we should have taken Quinn, sat him for three years, then see what we have.
Additionally, I agree that MBIII looked tired, and more importantly, so did the O-line. Very tired, very slow in the second half. Even more than dropped passes( and that is saying a lot), this one is on poor protection in the 4th quarter.
Posted by tex @ 6:28 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
It's too early to call Romo the 2000's version of Danny White. Way too early.
While Romo is not as error prone in terms of interceptions as White, they both do play bad in big games and fumble a lot.
The reason Roger Staubach was beloved is because he could look ordinary in October and bring it on in December, on the road, in the last minute, and against superior teams. He was Elway before Elway.
I second those that say that Romo is getting another good lesson this offseason. I hope he understands how far he has to go before he is in Brady's class, and how preparation AND focus is paramount. I hope the other players understand that there is another gear in the playoffs and they can't be in 2nd gear while everyone else is in overdrive.
The only negative is that despite if the players and Romo learn a lesson, it seems that the fat dufus Wade Phillips is still in denial, still fat and happy at 13-4 and completely unable to install discipline and drive to make a good team great.
Posted by Rob @ 6:57 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
you don't know what you don't know.. i really wish this team stop talking about superbowl as if they know what it takes to get there, they don't and they won't until they start acting and thinking differently. this team epitomizes the we'll get there someday syndrome of the Vikins of old, as if the superbowl is some stripper at a dance club or boat making her rounds, Witten give me a break, take a large piece of humble pie, give some to Romo and slap your 13-4 coach with some also because he sure does not know what it takes to get there. you guys are mad that you lost but you do not seem to be comprehending why you lost...you can start with mindset, preparation, discipline, drive or hunger
Posted by Arnie @ 7:01 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Montana, Unitas, Elway, and of course, Stabach and Aikman personified quarterback play at its best, showing a maturity and professionalism that your boy Romo has yet to show. Perhaps his ranting at fellow players and officials as the game slipped away is just a sign of his needing to grow up. As a Skin's fan, I'm hoping it's a preview of coming attractions.

In your dreams will Romo leave the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. The only thing Tony will get is STD.
Posted by gpaq @ 7:13 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
romo is no the problem. i still have confidence in him. we keep forgetting that he has started only 26 regular season games. he'll improve. the coaching.... i'm not so sure of.
Posted by Dogma @ 7:29 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Hey, this was Phillip's, Garret's and Stewart's first year with the Cowboys. Despite all your obnoxious whining cry baby griping, they did do pretty well this year. Not perfect, but there has to be a normal learning and adjustment curve there, and there is much promise for improvement next year.
Posted by edvedder @ 7:34 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Romo has won a nice share of big games (at Chicago, at NY, Green Bay). It's the end of his first full season and he hasn't won a playoff game yet, it's still way way too early to come to any conclusions like that. He didn't play a great game, but HE PLAYED GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN. He put some key passes in the right places (2 dropped TDs by Crayton) and Tony Romo is not the one that allowed the Giants to walk down the field at the end of the first half to score a touchdown with less than a minute left.
Posted by Rob @ 7:40 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Dogma, you can give all the excuses you want but San Diego is on their way to an afc championship game under similar circumstances, new coaches, young quarterback, etc... sometimes you have to call a spade and spade and hope people think a little harder. it's not easy to get to the superbowl or have a superbowl caliber team and it just seems to be this team doesn't really get that..

Tony Romo isn't going to lead the Cowboys anywhere until he learns to prepare for the next game rather than travel to Mexico or some other vacation spot with the latest bleached blonde ditz he picks up. You don't win a playoff game in February or March when he was supposedly working so hard. You win it in January. He and a bunch of the other players better learn that or the Cowboys will not win a playoff game for another 11 years

I agree with Dogma and edvedder, Romo played good enough to win this game and the Cowboys were in it to the last play of the game.
Still a good team...you bandwagon whining fans need to move along. Nothing to see here...
Posted by Quest 4 6 @ 8:42 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
I agree completely with edvedder's post! Crayton's two dropped passes is what really kills me on top of all the penalties. Then there's the couple of blown plays by Romo/TO that were possible TD passes. There's enough blame to go around all the way from the players to the coaches. I can't believe how ungrateful some "fans" are. A 13 - 4 season, a team loaded with talent, a record breaking season I mean come on people!!! Making it to the Big Show isn't easy. We as fans will have to accept what our team has given us (which is a lot)this year and move on. It's frustrating but it's done and over. We know what we have and what we need to do next season to make it so lets focus on the future. For the Romo bandwagoners out there get a clue will you! If you actually believe all the garbage that the media hypes up and reports on, then you really need to get a life. These bloodsucker reporters are only looking to turn a profit and/or make a name for themselves. They would make the Pope look bad if they thought it would make them a dime. And for the bandwagoner fans you really need to wake up and realize what a special team the DC's are! I mean hell here in Detroit we've not had anything to cheer about with Lions in over 40 YEARS!!!
Life long Cowboys fan!!

Romo played again very below average teams this year and since he is just a little above average, he excelled. When teams step it up a notch in the playoffs, he wilts like a weed in the hot sun.
He is just average and without an exceptional defense or other high voltage pieces to the team, Dallas will not go to the Super Bowl, much less win one.
Let's face it, Romo is just an average QB; nothing more nothing less. So, unless he learns to deal with the high pressure situations involved in the playoffs, prepare to live like Buffalo of the 90's.
Posted by lizzy @ 8:55 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
For those of you that think this team is anywhere near to being Superbowl worthy; but down the crack pipe and slowly back away.
Posted by Michael in Chicago @ 8:57 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
People are giving Romo crap about his vacation to Mexico, but Peyton Manning spent his entire
off weekend studying tapes of the Chargers and he had the same result as Romo. It's funny that the media know it all's don't mention this fact.
Posted by VT @ 8:58 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
The truth of the matter is the Cowboys were up by 3, Romo scrambled on 3rd and 12 to keep the play/drive alive, and Crayton dropped a pass that would have gone for at least 20 yards. Immediately after, the Cowboys tackle sloppy and McQuarters gets the big return. The Giants keep momentum through the end of the game. If that drive stays alive, I see the Cowboys scoring a TD on a very tired Giants defense. They go up by 10 and keep the momentum.
But it wasn't just Crayton. Penalties and the lack of someone stepping up and making a big play, when the Cowboys really needed it, cost them the game. This obviously includes Romo. And no Cabo has nothing to do with it. It must of been the increased pressure the Giant defense put on him after they got the lead and turned up their aggressiveness on defense. Romo got rattled and played without 100% confidence through the remainder of the game.
Posted by J.L. @ 8:58 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
I agree that there's plenty of blame to go around. Romo didn't have his best game, but did make plays and could have/should have made more.
The thing that worries me is his overall 'mood'. I don't mean in the Giants' game, but for several of the past weeks. Earlier in the year, he was bouncing around, smiling, having a great time playing the game. Lately, there's lots of head hanging, sitting on the bench staring at the ground, not smiling and definitely not looking like he's having any fun. I don't know what it is or when it happened, but there's a spark missing that was there earlier.
Posted by Raydio941 @ 9:02 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Romo is an overrated clown who is more focused on using his celebrity to bed hotties than he is in perfecting his craft.
That idiotic grounding pass on first and ten...the 14 yard sack when he should have dumped the ball...missing a wide open T.O. on a five yard pass inside the twenty...etc etc etc
If Romo was serious about taking Dallas to a Super Bowl, he would work during the "off days" on making himself better through preparation. That would make it easier for him to make quick reads and smarter decisions.
Anyone can win games during the season...it takes a pro to lead his team to a playoff win. It takes a pro to be able to stay focused and keep his head in the game instead of whining and complaining when things stall. Romo showed he continues to be an immature baby who can't handle pressure.
We'll all be saying the same things next year after another Dalls/Romo meltdown at the end of the year. The only question is which Cowboy will cry and which starlet will Romo be sleeping with.
Posted by Raydio941 @ 9:07 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Oh yeah...and 3 points in the second half??? Against a banged up secondary??? Good luck as a head coach Garrett. Great offensive adjustments genius. Good luck to you too Sparano. Nice to see your O-Line step up.
Two assistant coaches who definitely deserve head coaching jobs. Garrett's offense has been pathetic since the Packers game. Sparano's line choked big time in the fourth quarter.
Guess good 'ol boy Wade's nice man act worked real well. 0 and 4 in the playoffs Wade. First #1 seed ever to lose in their first game.
Posted by Lee @ 9:07 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
"average-to-mediocre" is redundant.
It's not Romo who I lack confidence in. It's Phillips. He doesn't seem to get it and is in complete denial. That does not bode well for the future so long as he is the head coach. I think it's fine to be a "players' coach" and all, but at some point you have to apply discipline and motivation, and he doesn't seem capable. Comments like "well the better team lost" and "well we outplayed them and had more yards" and "well, yeah we looked bad, but we did go 13-3" just the comments of a LOSER. It scares me that this is who we're stuck with now.
Posted by Bill In DC @ 9:24 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Great lizzy, why is it that you think they are not?
Dallas is a young team, 4th youngest in the NFL, they are, talent wise, every bit a Superbowl contender. ANyone who thinks they aren't should 'put the crack pipe down and back away'.
It isn't easy to get to the Superbowl and Dallas was taught a bitter lesson, that just because you are more talented than the team in front of you that doesn't mean you're going to win without effort. Or that you can 'turn it on' when you need to to win. It's part of the maturation of a team. If they learn that lesson then they WILL challenge for the SB next year and the next after that. If they don't, then they will not.
Good God, a team that has a first year starter at QB rarely gets this far in the playoffs (Pittsburgh did it but they had a very mature team around that young QB, Romo does not).
I always felt that next year would be the year for Dallas and was expecting them to be 10-6, 11-5 this year. They got on a roll early and let it go to their heads. Gotta learn and move on.
Posted by Bill In DC @ 9:33 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
rnie,
I think you should compare Romo's performance to those you list in their first year starting, not to their performance when they had 5 years experience under their belts.
If you look at that Romo preformed WAY better than they did. As I recall Aikman did not WIN a single game his first year (he was out during the Redskins win that year) as a starter and had MANY more picks than TDs, same with Elway the same, threw for far more yards, higher completion percentage, lower TD/INT ratio, etc.
Is he as good as they are? Probably not and that remains to be seen, but he's not far behind. He's older, but you only get experience by playing so he's a first year starter.
Dallas TEAM needed to mature, not so much Romo (like WR giving up on routes).

Back off Romo already. What exactly did you want him to do with his time off? Lock himself indoors? Is it okay if he dates, just not celebrities? Grow up. I've actually heard of people having a job and personal life.
Last I checked, Romo didn't give up 21 points that was our defense. He sets single season team records in his first year starting and leads the team to 13-3 record mostly through his play and that of the offense, and you tools want to cut him? Thank God you people have no say over personnel matters, you freaking children.
Posted by JD @ 10:49 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Eli Manning lost his first two playoff games. Romo was definitely pressing in the 4th quarter. He lost that smiling, carefree demeanor and flipped. He knew what was coming if he lost the game. He should have known after last year what's required in the playoffs. I wouldn't have believed that he went "Hollywood." Fooled me.
Two days later and still upset/PO'd about the following:
1. Wade is NOT the coach to lead the team. Consider his statement about 13-3 still making it a great season even if they lost (this was before the game). Not the right man to prepare the team for the next level.
2. Crayton is a b*tch. Talk sh*t, can't back it up. Name me ONE game that he dominated, which TO did with double and triple coverage. I'll probably get tired of calling him that in a few days (maybe), but that'll be the word that comes to mind whenever I see his name from now on.
3. Crayton = FredEx
FredEx = loudmouth, no talent b*tch.
FredEx = out of the NFL.
Do the math: A=B, B=C, A=C (hopefully)
4. CAPTCHA still sucks. Go to registration or something, but get rid of this stupid thing.

I have been a fan for many years. The fact the boys had a great regular season shows me they are improving. However, anyone watching the last four games before post play had to see the writing on the wall. The offensive was having issues and it was clear they were not all on the same page. Next season will be a very different story with possible coaching changes. Bottom line will and always has been who wants it more. The giants came to play. It was clear they wanted it more and it showed.
Posted by Mike C. @ 11:20 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Wow, I heard Wade's comments before the game that no matter what happened, win or lose, it would still be a great season. As a NY fan, it made me smile. Now, he talks about the better team losing and again, I have to smile. Please keep this coach. By the way, can anyone in Dallas tell me which team has the better chance to beat GB on Sunday? Thought so.
Posted by DonC @ 11:26 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
As a die hard Giants fan its difficult to feel sorry for Romo and the "boys". However, he was NOT the only one who made bad decisions during the game. In fact, if not for the last 47 seconds in the second quarter where the Giants scored a touchdown they would have won the game. What amazes me is the fact that the NY Giants aren't the only team that can "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory". Humbling defeat for sure but the cowboys remain in the elite upper echelon of teams that will dominate in the future baring major injuries.
Posted by Matt @ 11:29 AM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Its not like all the Giants are retiring and Eli will be around for awhile. Good luck Romo.

Yeah Mike, and you can keep Tom Coughlin. Isn't he on a year-to-year contract? Does that show a lot of confidence in him? Please, extend this guy for 4-5 years after this season and believe he's your man. PLEASE!!!!
You beat a Tampa Bay team that sucked and a young Dallas team that hadn't played a meaningful game in a month. Period. I'll take our roster over the Giants any day of the week. I'd say good luck, but Green Bay is going to wipe the floors with you.
Again, please re-sign Tommy to a nice long extension.

I told my dad this last season and I've been saying it again this season, Romo is the new Danny White. A regular season winner. A QB that will pile up the stats. But not a winner in the playoffs. This guy can't get it done.
Posted by IWONDER32 @ 12:43 PM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Bottom Line, Folks the 'Boys lost fair and square.
Point #1- Secondary has had problems all year and those problems were never addressed. Roy Williams non factor all year.
Point #2 - The team lacked the discipline and mental focus to go to the next level.
Point #3- THE ROMO FACTOR. Let's face it. HE IS THE STARTING QB and he must face the fact that he lost the game b/c of a LACK OF LEADERSHIP AND POISE. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO STEP UP AND TAKE YOUR TEAM TO A PLACE MENTALLY TO WIN!! He was taken out of his gameplan mentally. THAT MY FRIENDS is not a PRO. I think Jerry should have waited on the contract until the end of the season - I said it then and now. I know he wants to kick his own ass for that one.
POINT #4 - The Phillips Factor - he can't win the BIG ONE! Maybe he needs to change the players coach personna and get a little of the Jimmy Johnson thing working - DISCIPLINE, POISE and MENTAL TOUGHNESS WINS BALL GAMES. Talent helps and is critical, but to go to the next level when evryone has talent - YOU NEED THE BIG THREE!

Hi Jason, Thanks for the kind words. I like the fact that, again, nobody likes the Giants. However, did you notice that the line for NY v Dallas opened at NY + 8.5 and the line for this week is at NY + 7. Looks like the professionals think that NY has a better shot at beating GB then they did Dallas. Sounds good to me. Only other thing I can hope for is that the FOX pregame crew all picks GB.

Hi again Jason, Have to admit, you got me thinking. Starting this year,Tom Coughlin would not have been my choice for coach. I thought he lost the team last year. Guess it was the Tiki factor. But results speak for themselves. He turned around the team after 0-2 start and look where they are now. And I bet you would admit it, wouldn't you like to have heard something like, '13-3 is fine and got us to where we are, but it is meaningless if we lose now' from your coach. Can you imagine Landry saying that win or lose , it was a good year?
Posted by Jason @ 2:15 PM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Okay Mike, apologies for being bitchy but why do have to come into DMN forum and talk smack? Scoreboard. We get it. I'd never do the same if the situations were reversed; however after reading several posts here comparing Romo's one full starting season in which we went 13-3 and set numerous team records to Danny White, I feel safe to say on of our yahoo's would have busted loose in a Giants forum.
Romo haters: how can you even have a fully formed opinion of him? He's started 26 games. That's it. By your logic Aikman, Staubach, Elway, Unitas, Namath - all bums because they didn't win a Superbowl after 26 starts. You people don't understand football. He played fine. He was flustered in the 4th Quarter but that's on the offensive line. They have to give him time to get the ball downfield because the running game was dead. Do you understand he's played 26 games?! Seriously, what drugs are you on and where can I get them?
Posted by Marci @ 2:31 PM Tue, Jan 15, 2008
Lay off Romo, for GODS sake he hasn't even played 2 full seasons. Yes I am not thrilled with the whole "jessica" crap but he has proven he can win ig games. All was not his fault, dropped passes penalties etc. All aspects of the game play in the final results.Sometimes you get lucky and pull it out in the final moments then all the mistakes are forgotten, but when you don't you lose. I have been a Cowboy fan for 34 years and will always love my team.

It's good to see that most of your spirits are up and looking forward to next year! Did I hear right, that J.Jones had ALREADY given NFC Championship tickets to the team? Talk about putting the horse before the cart! Isn't it ironic how Dallas was supposed to be the almighty team in the NFC & Green Bay (God's team) was supposed to struggle? Oh, and when BFeezee stood at the podium and said this team may be the most talented you all thought he was senile (forgetful, confused, or otherwise mentally less acute in later life). And before any of you start with the lame excuses as to your division was tough.....we ran thru all of them(Giants, Philly and Washington) & was about to finish it up with you! My wife and her family are all big supporters of your team, (I didn't laugh at her when your plight to get T.O. a ring ended)....but I'm d*&n sure laughing at all of you! Take down the ego some and maybe the loss won't hurt so bad...you would think per (Patrick " I dropped big play passes" Crayton)that ya'll were N.England! Enjoy the off season, and continue to watch (God's Team)do the unexpected (well, to those outside of Lambeau)!!!!

Hey Jason, Good question, with a simple answer. Sports is a way to challenge yourself. I would rather be playing a game, but if not, then talking about it is the next best thing. And the best challenge is 'going on the road'. If all I wanted was agreement, and the same thing over and over again, blah, blah, blah, then I could read the NY blogs. But DMN... now there is a challenge. And would you have thought this morning that you would apologize to a Giant fan? Not likely, but thanks for stepping up. Bottom lines - Dallas has talent but lacks leadership , Giants played with heart and overcame lack of individual skills. Good luck moving forward. I will be looking forward to both games next year and the years to come as both Eli and Tony fight it out. Should be a lot of fun. With a lot to talk about.

Tex, I don't know why everyone is comparing Romo to Danny White. Lookit, Danny took us to three straight NFC Championship games. To do that, he had to win at least 1 if not 2 playoff games each year. If you want to "compare" Romo to someone, I'll give you some examples that are better comparisons than Danny White. Barrack Obama, Saddam Hussein, Danny Devito, Hugh Hefner, Sally Fields, Oprah Winfrey, Seabiscuit, Dale Earnhart. They've All won as many playoff games as Romo.

billinDC, how ridiculous to compare Aikman's 1st year with Romo. In the first place, this is Romo's FIFTH year, and in the second place, Aikman's first season he had to work with a team that didn't have the talent to beat a Division I college football team, whereas Romo, was working with a team that had TWELVE PRO BOWL PLAYERS, and a team that had gone to the playoffs the year before. Man, some of you Romosexuals are really reaching to try to come up with SOMETHING, ANYTHING, that you can hang your hat on. How 'bout, "0-2", "0-2"!!!

New name for Dallas Quarterback. Cabo Romo! There is too much uncertainty with being in mexico than close to Dallasat such a crutial time. He is cashing in on his fame, not developing leadership skills or setting an example of a leader. Cabo Romo and "no win wade" make for a mediocre future. Get Aikman in and tell Cabo Romo to listen to a proven winner. How about O-for Romo?

You guys are idiots. You act like Romo isn't the answer. What was? Quincy Carter? Testeverde? Anthony Wright? The guy is a two time pro-bowler in his first two years. Would you like Carson Palmer? Drew Brees? Philip Rivers? Remember how no one said Peyton couldn't win in the big game before? Knee jerk fans. Y'all are the reason Dallas has this reputation as being fair weather fans.

Stevo, Quincy Carter and Anthony Wright have won as many playoff games as Romo. So now we're going to brag about Romo making the pro-bowl his first 2 years. Roy Williams has made the pro-bowl, what, 5 years in a row now? Look at how great a player HE is!!! As for Peyton Manning, he had won several playoff games. The "Big Game" that they were referring to was the Super Bowl. Of course, you Romosexuals don't care about the Super Bowl, hell, y'all don't even care about the 1st playoff game. All you care about is Romo getting his "stats" and being named to the pro bowl, and being "13-3", "13-3". How 'bout "0-2", "0-2"!!! And Y'all are the reason Dallas fans have this reputation of being ignorant A-HOLES!!!
