Former Eagles QB Ron Jaworski shared his thoughts on the Cowboys-Giants game during an ESPN conference call yesterday. And he thinks the week off will do Dallas some good. “The Giants are playing good football right now and Dallas didn’t end the season so well," Jaworski said. "But I’m a believer in the ‘bye’ week – it gives those teams a huge advantage to freshen up. What concerns me about Dallas is their inability to run the football as of late … Can the Dallas Cowboys get balance back to their offense? When Romo was so hot, he had his running game available to him.” Eli Manning, on the other hand, seems to be ascending. And Jaworski's starting to take the bait on No. 10. “The last couple weeks now, it’s starting to come together for him," Jaworski said. "He is now seeing the coverage … Now, by the pump fake, by the shoulder roll, and by the head fake, he can make them (opposing defense) move to open up passing lanes. Now, he is seeing the field much more clearly and he is playing the game much more calm … I’ve seen a real maturity in Eli’s game. “He’s close, but not there yet. It is so hard to play the quarterback position nowadays with the complex sophisticated offense that teams run and even more so with the complex defenses that teams run. … This off-season, I thought he made some strides mechanically.” |

Jaws is the best in the business. He tells it like it is, beside, I for one agree with him. Dallas's regression of late is a definate concern. Besides, I like his nickname,,,JAWS

It's sad to have more people blasting fellow bloggers than giving their 2 cents to the news.

ESPN has about as much credibility in the world as MTV does with REAL music.

Eli Manning? Let's not break out the annointing oil just yet!

Just a funny email from Mick's mail on Dallas Cowboys.com for all these nay sayers/non-believers.
Lawrence Thomas, Jackson, Miss.: Do you know what's really funny about the Giants? I remember that the Cowboys have never been seemingly favored to beat them all year. The first game of the season everyone was saying we don't know if Tony Romo can bounce back from last year and that Wade Phillips had a soft training camp and to look for Terrell Owens to blow up on the sidelines. Then in the middle of the season everyone was saying that Giants are a different team now that they will be playing with their true starters, and they will put pressure on Romo. Now the media's saying the Cowboys are not a playoff-winning team, that that they haven't won a playoff game in 11 years. They are saying that although the Cowboys finished 13-3, they are still an unproven team, that Tony Romo has too much on his mind, that T.O. is hurt, and that Wade is too relaxed. On and on. Now this is so funny to me because how many times do the Cowboys have to prove themselves against the world or, let's just say the media? Correct me if I'm wrong, is Tony Romo 3-0 against the Giants?

Pretty honest comments from Jaws although I will admit I'm not his biggest fan.
Someone suggested that ip addresses be added next to screen names and I think it's a GREAT idea to flush out some of the multi-screen name users like El Presidente aka Ramsfan not to mention BLOCK them and spammers if needed.
Perhaps T-Mac could handle that for the DMN because God knows he's not contributing anything of substance.

sk, there is nothing sad about making fun of Saint Jimmy. He is the biggest insulter of all. He deserves everything he gets throw at him. He can dish it out, but he seems a little weak in the taking it part. Screw him!

After the Buffalo game, Jaws is dead to me. I don't care if he tries to be unbiased now.. I just don't need any more of his drivel.

Eli Manning annointing oil?
More like tar and feathers for him.

It's amazing...out of the 4 qb's left to play in the NFC, Eli Manning is just the best right?
I think Romo, Favre, and Hasselbeck might have something to say about that.
Eli will be pressured once Phillips dials up Ware, Ellis, Spencer...etc. Once that happens it will suddenly be a regress game for Eli.
With T.O., Glenn, Crayton, Witten, and Barber as options the Giants had better hope they don't get beat by 20. And anyone who thinks T.O. won't play and be effective, along with Glenn is just delusional. Wade is playing a cat/mouse game with the media because nothing requires him to make the Giants job any easier.

Come Sunday night, TONY ROMOVERRATED will be 3 and 1 against the original Titans of New York.
Look for:
- Boss to embarass your fat lazy Biscuit in the flat
- Strahan to get to Romoverrated for 2 sacks
- Flozell "DumbAss" Adams to give up two false starts, MINIMUM
- Jacobs to pile up 110 yards against Burnett "The Taunter" and fat-ass Spears
- Madison to pick off at least one Romoverrated pass against gimpy "I Love Me Some Me" Owens
- Eli to torch slow-footed Henry with deep throws to Burress
- Roy to be . . . Roy
End result? G-MEN 34, dallas 20
No way your fat, lazy, undisciplined, soft, chaw-chewin', inbred, uninspired group of gimps beat the G-MEN three times in a season!
Have your trampy wives and girlfriends keep your sofas warm for you, Cowgirls -- 'cuz you'll be goin' home to stay come Sunday night.

Why does everyone want to claim that Eli has turned anything around? I was looking at his stats. The majority of the games with his best individual performances they lost. His best performance was week 1 to Dallas and lost, good stats vs NE... lost. His other game against Dallas was 1 of his top 5....lost. The 1 other time he had 300 yds was against atlanta and they won that. So this is just the national media jumping all over the "hot" team! WoW NYG are hot they have a one game winning streak!!! Everyone said they would beat us in NY in the regular season. Wrong again. Remember how hot they were then, and how they had turned it around on a 6 game win streak playing for the division lead.
Dallas wins without a doubt!@!!

If the cowboys would only let Barber do what he does more often we wouldn't have to listen to all this crap around the league about the Giants having a chance.
Run Barber left, right, left, right ALL DAY LONG
ps: I hope Garret listens

BlueRules, I dont think madison is playing, half of your secondary is banged up, good luck to you! I dont think Strahan has enough left to over power our big o-line, but whatever you will see.

Chris/Denton, hey Eindtein, it was I who suggested ip addresses next to the names. Dont accuse me of being Rams Fan. I suspect the guitly dog barked 1st. Who are you anyway, Mannix?

How many times does this have to be said: it's not the Cowboys inability to run that's the problem, it's their UNWILLINGNESS to run. THAT is the problem. Garrett needs to let Barber and Jones grind it out more on teams, particularly when the passing game is struggling. Surely the experts such as "Jaws" knows this right?

Bluerules, the "original Titans of NY" are actually the Jets. They're off this weekend, by the way. Try again.
